For example, the other day there was a huge disagreement between me and a member who had a Gerry avatar. Then, when I watched the highlights I kept getting annoyed at Gerry even though he had done nothing wrong.

An other, there's someone really calm and always keeps the peace who has a Jade avatar; now whenevr I see Jade I feel like she's that person and my opinion has changed.


It's almost like I subcontiousely think it's that housemate!
Does anyone else find this?

Yeah, I have noticed that a lot. Like nodisharmony has a jade avatar, and nodisharmoy is the one who keeps the most peace here.

It does definitely affect my opinion but not enough to make me change my vote.

I am a member who is very angry to see how so many people can hate a Big Brother housemate in such a horrible way and take things beyond the limit of all imaginations.

It is not about being a Jade fan.

I would rather change my Avatar for Avril Lavigne or Sophie-ellis-Bextor or Kylie or many other Celebrities, but I like to make a statement.

I want people to like me for who I am & look at me beyond the Jade Goody Avatar of mine.

For many, it is hard & may judge me totally from my Avatar and I really try to make members respect other members, regardless of what they support or believe in.

Also, in regards to "Keeping the peace", that is always a positive and some may criticise the way in which it is done and make their views on that and in certain cases, do go too far.

An Avatar is just a picture and many members chop-and-change as time goes by. But I keep mine there and when I meet some hostility, I explain in a certain unique way, that behind an Avatar, may lurk a nice person. That can also be the same, the other way round?

It is like having an Avatar on the lovely "Amanda & Sam", that doesn't necessarily mean that the person behind is nice, it could be rather agressive, antagonistic or whatever??

It is also important to make your own judgements and never listen to others.

I love it here at TIBB & anyone who says other BB forums are better, they are lying.

I have made some Irriplacable friends on here and Avatar pictures don't matter to me, I am willing to be friends to anyone who wishes to be nice & for those who don't, then just go away....

I see the point in question which is why I have a pig as my avatar and change it to suit my mood!

My avatar has nothing to do with the real 'me' for I am not really a pig am I? and deliberately have no association with a HM, although that said I am warming to Gerry (and liking Liam!)
