Smile "I'm just being honest..."

I think this is down to age, or maybe location. When I was younger (yes, I'm ancient in most of your eyes at 40-something LOL), you didn't just yell at people or tell them what you thought of them, or said something 'just because it's true'.

I've seen Darren slated a few times, like with the jumper, for being nice, polite and not wanting to cause offence. That's what I grew up with. That's how you did behave. It's not gossiping behind their back, or not being straight, it's just polite. I would do the same thing.

Yet now everyone just sees you as a backstabber, sitting on the fence, or a game player.

Just thinking... it's funny how it's changed. Some of my friends occasionally pee me off or upset me (same with my mum and hers! She gets wound up too occasionally!) and, as much as we'd defend ourselves, or say something if we thought someone was being deliberately vindictive, we'd never say anything we thought would upset them if they were unaware of it. I'm very much a peace keeper. If someone says 'red or white?' at the table when a few of us are out, I'll be the one going 'happy with either' (even if I would probably have a choice if forced).

Any opinions? Do you think they should tell each other EVERYTHING that has wound them up, or ALWAYS give an honest answer, even if it'll upset them? People are just so shouty at others! This house has been explosive - often for no good reason! I don't really get it...

Well....."lets be honest here" everyone bitches about other people in real life, they just don't get filmed doing it lol

as far as the Darren/jumper example goes i guess he should have just told Stef no if he didn't want her borrowing it though

But then he would have to explain to her that he finds her unhygienic

Yeah exactly that, Cherie - it wasn't like he'd not lend it to anyone and was being selfish or not wanting to lend out his stuff, it was because it was her. It would have offended her. He was worried she's spill something down it, or stretch it, or put a fag burn in it. Fair enough after the way she'd treated Megan's clothes!

He didn't do anything wrong....but these things get played back in BB and then they are made to look like they were being bitchy.
It was like Daniella storming into the garden calling Steph a slag....it was only her letting off steam...but things all get exposed on there deliberately to make it look like it isn't.
We all do it in real life....but we don't get filmed doing it.

He should have just politely told her the truth, a friend had given him it to wear, therefore he could not lend her it..and besides, you are a skank.
Simple.
