I love the Cokers. Pam is being a bit of a knob though - she knows that the only way Les coped with Laurie's death was by becoming Christine. Surely she knows that's not likely to have changed?

Anyone who's never watched the show before would tune in and assume she was Martin's mum before Ben's. She's supported and had better scenes with him than she has Ben or Ian.
