One of the key points here actually is that BB are in TOTAL control of what is shown. Biggins didn't broadcast anything. They chose to broadcast his remarks. So if the bisexuals are offended then it is BB who offended them.

So it doesn't just mean irrational fear of.

Then it has been abused.

If the word "arachnophobia" suddenly had it's definition changed to "Irrational fear of spiders or not liking them very much or thinking they are a bit mean" then I would feel the same.

Claiming to be ignorant of the fact that some words/meanings evolve/change is no defence sorry.

So now you know that it has a few definitions.

No defence? Just who is on trial here?

If people are dumb enough to use a word ending with "Phobia" to mean "prejudice against" then that is up to them. I won't recognise the word in that context. To me it means fear of gays.

Sorry about that.

Defence in the context of a debate. Thought that was obvious

So if you aren't in favour of the meaning of words changing do you declare 'I'm gay' when you're happy?

Edited to add - This is pure nitpicking. Same as the Winston threads. Can't be arsed. Sorry about that.

Actually I do sometimes describe things and myself as gay to mean happy. Why should such a positive word be hijacked for purely political reasons.

It isn't nitpicking. Language is very important.

If we were to take your very simplistic view on language, then using words like the N word would not be punishable by law.

Returned to the realization...

I'm watching propaganda produced by a Tyrannical Nanny State, run by Pedo's.

It all makes sense, now.

No, you're watching a light entertainment programme.
