JESY Nelson and Jake Roche split weeks ago after a series of heated rows, The Sun Online can reveal.

The couple have called off their wedding and are now both throwing themselves into work – with Jesy preparing to jet off to Europe with her Little Mix band mates.


The Sun Online has learnt the split after the pair started to grow apart.

An insider said: “Their relationship became strained and they grew apart.

“They started rowing and it became too much.”

Another source added: “It’s over as far as Jesy’s concerned and there’s no going back.

“The wedding is off and her engagement ring won’t be going back on.

“Jesy’s so busy with her career and she’s throwing herself into work.”

Since getting engaged in July last year, the pair have spent long stretches of time apart, with Jesy travelling the world with Little Mix and Jake working hard in the studio with his band Rixton.

Although loved up selfies became their ‘thing’, in recent months the couple have barely mentioned one another online.

Then, on 8 November, Jesy unfollowed Jake online – with the boyband star later deleting loved up pictures of the couple from his Instagram profile.

The couple were inseparable when they first got together and, after getting engaged with the help of Ed Sheeran, Jake’s mum – Loose Women star Coleen Nolan – gushed about how the couple wouldn’t “hang about” when it came to setting a date.

Over the past week, Jesy has been hitting the town with her bandmates Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, while Jake has been locked away in the studio, posting cryptic messages to his followers on Instagram.

He later deleted all of his Twitter posts except for two which are simply the words “a**e” and “hole,” and the Instagram post that he put up for Jesy on her 25th birthday in June.Their break up has rocked their families – who grew close during their relationship.

A source told The Sun Online: “Both Jake and Jesy’s families have been left reeling from the split and everyone is terribly upset by it.

“At the end of the day, they just want them both to be happy and if that mean's they're apart then so be it.

Not all hope is lost however, with another insider adding: “They're both young and they could work it out in the future.”

“They had a great time together and have a lot of happy memories. You can never say never.”
