The Boxtrolls (2014)
7/10 > unusual animation quite liked it overall

Dying Of The Light (2014)
6/10 > Nicolas Cage stars in yet another straight to DVD film which was decent for a change, what ever happened to his career?

Soul Survivors (2001)
6/10 > slow moving throughout it was borderline average, but the twist was great & saved it

Extraction (2013)
3/10 > mind numbing rubbish about going into self consciousness ZZZZZ, watch the inside of your eye lids instead it would be more entertaining than this

Blood Rage (1987)
1/10 > gore was good but 80's slashers are 99% crap most of the time

Bloody Moon (1981)
1/10 > poorly dubbed & acted garbage

Lion

Cried. Like. A. Bitch.

10/10. (I understand the criticisms because there's not a terrible amount of complexity to the story so the middle begins to drag a bit, but meh. What was there, I loved)

Dazed & Confused - 10/10 - one of my fav movies. Makes you want to be a teenager in 70's Texas - funny, nostalgic, brilliant.

The Dictator (2012)
8/10 > normally their's a 50/50 chance I won't like a film by Sacha Baron Cohen but this was very funny in places

Fred Claus (2007)
8/10 > normally I find Xmas films cringe but I liked this a lot

Tremors 5: Bloodlines (2015)
7/10 > good sequel, hope they stop after 6

Dracula Untold (2014)
7/10 > Dracula's story has been told over & over now, let him R.I.P

Get Santa (2014)
7/10 > good xmas movie but it was too British & too serious for my liking

Debug (2015)
2/10 > terribly bad but I expect nothing less from Signature Films

Fences

An ordeal, and not a great one. Can't fault Denzel or Viola's performances but oh god the Troy character is the most hideous I've seen in a long time. Loathed him. So I guess it made me feel. But oh god this was such a boring movie. 5 or 6/10 for not being objectively bad but I never want to watch it again.

I went to see Split last night.

James McAvoy stole the show with his performance and the way he was able to move so effortlessly between Kevin's various personalities. I can't fault any of the acting in this at all, Betty Buckley was also fantastic as were the three girls. The film wasn't really what I was expecting after having seen the trailer (I was expecting it to play out more like 10 Cloverfield Lane) but meh I still enjoyed it, although it could've been more suspenseful. I found myself laughing more than actually feeling scared as did my friends and most of the people at the theatre, especially any scene featuring Hedwig. I do wish we got to see more of Kevin's 23 personalities though as I felt they dwelled on that too much only to end up showing us about five of them. It left me wondering what the others were like? Hedwig was hilarious and I thought he worked well because it made the sudden personality switches to Patricia and Dennis all the more unsettling. Aside from Hedwig, I also liked Patricia and Barry, both of whom were VERY intriguing.

I don't know how to feel about the ending though with

Spoiler:

The Beast and giving him superhuman strength and speed. It felt kinda out of place and far-fetched to me and something you'd see in a Superhero movie. But then I've heard the film (and the ending with Bruce Willis) ties in with M Night's other film, Unbreakable, which Split is supposedly a sequel to so I definitely need to check that out.

7.5/10

Casablanca - The original 1942 version with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Birdman

A timeless classic

The DVD only cost me £2 from a second hand shop I was passing yesterday.

Trance (2013)
6/10 > okay all the way through the last 30 minutes were the best & the twists were good

Priest (2011)
5/10 > liked a couple of parts, but a headache trying to figure out what the hell was going on

Saving Santa (2013)
5/10 > meh animation that had very few laughs to warrant another viewing

Shelter (2013)
5/10 > last 30 minutes was much better, shame the rest was boring

The Sand (2015)
3/10 > wish they'd would make a decent film about this plot such wasted potential, the ''actors'' are below average & the long haired blonde in red bikini was thick as S***

The Rite (2011)
3/10 > bored from start to finish ZZZZZ

House at the end of the street - 5/10

I didn't really enjoy this movie and I gave it a 5 simply because Jennifer Lawrence made me watch it in full! it was boring throughout and normally when i find movies boring it picks up during the middle. I felt sorry for Ryan but he ended being a villain which i did not expect

The Gal on the Train (2016)

Not bad, little slow, little confusing. Emily Blunt held it together.
