Default Germany 2 England 1

Just dissapointed again with England, Steve Maclearne has adopted the style of Sven Goran Erikson, England had beend defeated nearly all friendly matches this year and last year, except the draw with Brazil. They need to get rid of this manager.

I was a little disappointed with the result too. Lehmann is on such bad form I was a little optimistic when Lampard's hit and hope shot went in and we took the lead

Paul Robinson needs to be replaced with David James... I'm glad they bought him on at half time.

Michael Owen had an awful game, and I really don't think he should be playing for England at the moment. There are many strikers that could replace him.

Credit to Pandar for his debut goal, was a great shot.

I agree though that McClaren needs to change strategy and get some new faces in the team. The match vs Isreal is pretty important for him, let's see how it goes.

Steve Maclaren is nothing like my idea of a good England manager. He lost all credibility before he even started because of the way in which he dumped one of the worlds most famous 'right foots'. I don't think he has a clue about managerial inspiration and it was one of the most pathetic ways of asserting authority I have ever seen and feel that it's hardly surprising the England team reacted badly.

He set himself up to be embarrassed because football has a lot to do with form, and there can't be too many people who think David Beckham is not worth at least keeping close at hand.

The problem of course starts with the FA who are a bunch of old brigade losers themselves~~ remember when they tried to openly recruit Scholari just a few weeks before he took Portugal to the world cup finals, I mean how utterly stupid was that in terms of timing.
IMO We won't win anything much with this guy, he's just another control freak who hated the idea of a player being bigger than the manager, a problem Becks has been confronted with on two previous occasions.

MaClaren is just like the people who employed him and the sooner they are all gone the better.

Tonight was just a friendly, without the full team but I just get the feeling they don't really get going under this 'little' man, who has absolutely no presence at all.

Edit. ok sorry, this was a bit of an off topic rant. I just have a thing about the FA.lol

I was out at a nightclub, and they had it on the big screen, but nobody really cared

That was a good second German goal. As the commentator Archie MacPherson used to shout when a shot rocketed in... 'Wooof!'

I don't get why Beckham played the whole game when he's clearly still carrying a knock.Joe Cole was the most threatening player on the pitch and we bring on a right winger in his place.SWP did well when he came on but he should have replaced Beckham.

Robinson has not really played that well in a while, the error for the first goal was very poor.Carson or James to replace him for the Israel game.

We may as well have left Richards at right back as Wes Brown did sod all going forward.

Defoe must have been thinking to himself why the hell was Dyer brought on instead of him.

What I like about Germans, is their speed, and very fast and quick, they score from any position, but dissapointed England lost at their home Stadium. The biggest stupidest mistake he made was dropping David Beckham from the squad.

Germans didn't have their best players on, more of a reserve team, whilst England had all of thier top players playing, they still lost.
