TOWIE’S Pete Wicks is in talks to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house this summer.

CBB bosses are “determined” to bag one of the Towie’s main names with long-haired Lothario Pete, 28, topping their wish list.

“Pete has already said he needs a break from the show and seeing as this is going to be a big money deal it’s looking like a no-brainer.”

Pete’s on/off girlfriend Megan McKenna saw her career propel following her stint in the house during January 2015, so he’s more than aware of the benefits.

The source continued: “Celebrity Big Brother launched Megan’s career so Pete knows it could take him to the next level and boost his profile, while giving him a much-need break from Towie stress.”

Pete recently opened up to The Sun about how he was looking forward to some time off from the ITVBe reality series, admitting he found it “mentally draining” when his second breakup with Megan again happened in front of the cameras.

He said: “The show has been tough.

“It has definitely been a hard series and I need this break; I need to concentrate on myself.

He added: “It has felt like a long time since we started filming this year; TOWIE can be mentally draining sometimes.”
