Default No PE kit at school

My daughter didn't have her PE kit at school yesterday, but still had to do the lesson. I would have thought she should have sat out of the lesson if she didn't have her kit? What do others think?

In my day they made you do it in your pants if you forgot , very few people forgot as a result.

she's very lucky

if we forgot ours they would make us wear something from their spare kit box that judging by the smell i presume never saw a washing machine in their many years of use

I think she would rather have worn something from a spare kit box than have done it in her knickers!

I think most schools have spare kit so anyone who forgets it, just borrows some. I think if the school doesn't have any spares and the child has forgotten their kit, they should sit out

Imagine how many kids would "forget" their PE kit if it meant they got to sit out.

Some how I don't believe a school would make a girl do PE in her underwear in this day and age, they'd be law suits all over the place

I was thinking the same thing!
Don't sound right (or legal) in this day and age.

They used to get away with all kinds of brutality in school in my day.

I went to school in South Africa for a few years as a kid and there was a whole other level of 'discipline' over there. We finished school at 12 midday every day though so that more than made up for it.
