Just pen pushers in shirts and ties, with too much time on their hands and bored. They need something to do, so they constantly keep changing the rules of a sport they've probably never played.
If Managers and players of clubs had more of a say in how the game should be run instead of these self appointed middle class twerps who are only in the game to take money out of it, it would be a much better spectacle. Since big money started coming into this working class sport, so followed the middle class, who now dominate the sport. Control the media and advertising, control kick-off times and dates, control suspensions (which of course lead to fines, to line their pockets), control the transfer system. Since these people have entered our sport, they've destroyed football for the regular fan. The FA cup, once the biggest football game in the World, is now a joke. The transfer fees for players is now ridiculous. The cost for a fan to watch their local team is extortionate to working class families. Football is a game played on a field, far too much corrupt politics in it now, and why? Because the local football teams are like a religion to these working class people, and they're being exploited for the love of their teams. Makes me sick it does. |

It was, it was bigger than the World cup. It was shown all over the World. And a cup final day in England was like Christmas day, excitement from the minute you woke up.
Talking about this reminded me of an episode of the Detectives with Jasper Carrott and Robert Powell. A classic episode set on FA cup final day. If you get a spare half hour and have not seen, you should watch, a great episode. |

Bad idea testing this out in a World Cup summer.

This is going to be a disaster for our clubs, release clauses getting triggered left right and centre for our best players when the window is already closed and we can't sign a replacement
