100% English-spoken versions only, so Bigg Boss (Big Brother India) does not count, even if it is legendary...
Counted BBUS and BBCAN as one entity because their formats are the same... Personally for me AUS>NA AND UK (can’t decide) BBUK and the North American format both have good and bad things about them... The Australian Format is the superior of the three... The North American format
The UK one is fine but I prefer the idea of houseguests having to save themselves with competitions (HOH, veto, anything extra) or through influencing fellow houseguests to save them. I'd rather that than a popularity contest (even if it can be entertaining). And when it comes down to it, BBUK is kinda just about who has the biggest fanbase going into the show with maybe some exceptions. Both are respectable formats though. I've never given BBAUS a fair chance yet

CAN (I like the public involvement) > USA (I don't like the botb or third nominee things) > UK > AUS

Kind of - but they nominate with a points system instead. They get 5 points to split between 2 HM's.

I prefer the BBUS format of barely having any public involvement tbh... but then I happen to prefer most of the BBCAN seasons and BBUS can be hit or miss so idk. (I think it has more to do with the casts though)

The points system, three or more nominees with the most points are up makes it more strategic than the UK...

You guys are crazy. As a BB fan who's watched the shows all over the world, UK and Australia win hands down. They are based on the traditional BB format. I can't speak much for the Canadian version, but the US version has been so heavily tampered with it's hardly "Big Brother" aside from having the same name. The HOH, veto, etc, format additions just make it an over-the-top competition show rather than the "social experiment" it was intended to be. BBUSA is just hands down awful.

I’d say the UK and Australian formats are still too similar to class as different things. They’re both still the housemates nominating/public evicting.
I’m probably bias but I grew up watching BBAU so the AU/UK would be my favourite. I like the US format but the editing of the main show lets it down. At the end of the day whatever the format is is irrelevant if the casting is bad. There’s plenty of examples of each one having good seasons/bad seasons.

I like the British format. I would hate for the housemates deciding on the winner because it would end up being someone boring like Sian. BBUK is fine the way it is. I just think BB need to stop meddling. And the 4 or more housemates with the most nominations are up for eviction but vote to SAVE. With Evict we all know the big characters go first. But we need at least 4 up for eviction so there is more chance of a boring one getting the least save votes. If it's a double then at least 5 should be up.

What I like about BBUS specifically is that anyone has a chance throughout no matter how much the people in there or the public hate them. There's the HOH comp, POV comp, the ability to convince one person (HOH or veto holder) to save you or a group of people to save you (or even the help of America/production with a twist). And the twists are limited/not too overpowered most of the time where it doesn't totally screw others out of the game.

Instead, they bring back returnees every other season and rig it in their favour with twists that grant them immunity on a silver platter while the new players have the odds stacked against them from the start.
