Arsenal have a consistancy problem more than ever...

Beating chelsea drawing to wigan destroying man city ( not scoring) drawing against leeds.

The title is for the taking if any of the top 5 can string say 7 wins in a row..

Wouldn't any supporter who's team had Chopra, Bothroyd, Whittingham, Burke and Bellamy playing for them? Like I said we're 2nd so promotion looks to be on target for the time being.

Yes I am, funnily enough Parkin has got a good record at championship level so you clearly know jack about this league. We've signed him as a player who's gonna use his physical presence to rough up some tired centre halfs for the last 10-15 minutes of a match. We're talking with players like Vaughan and Routledge so we're obviously looking at giving it a good go for the final third of season.

Ryan Babel is facing the possibility of disciplinary action from the Football Association after responding to Liverpool's 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford by posting a mocked-up photo on his Twitter site of the referee Howard Webb wearing a Manchester United shirt.

He should have kept his thoughts to himself and not rant on Twitter where his name is visible and lots of people can see it, no wonder some footie managers ban their players from going on it.

If a United player done it about Liverpool you would want them punished wouldn't you?, as a United fan I also would think it's unprofessional of the player if it happened and would deserve a punishment.

Not to mention the bloody awful Alan Green on BBC Radio. ITV should have had two commentators each, one to represent United and the other to represent Liverpool.

Players should be allowed to say what they want, they are just humans afterall. And especially when they are right in what they post, no one can argue that that was a penalty.

Drinkwater is gonna be a quality player one day, even Utd fans have said it. Hudson's one of the best centre halfs in the championship, such a professional and a good leader, also played well for Palace in the premiership and he was all over Fuller and Jones on Saturday... and Naylor? LOL WTF LMAO I never said he was premiership standard, he'd be okay for someone like Ipswich who are constantly mid-table but not for a team looking for promotion.. no clue where the ******* you got that idea from.

Parkin nearing the end of his career? He's 29.

None of them are capable premiership players, they may be good at their current level but that doesn't mean they are premiership standard.

Nothing more than a lump nearing retirement - his legs have gone and its only a matter of time before he drops down the leagues.

Most appropiate term to describe him is a 'carthorse'.

Strange, strange signing.

Here is a view from a Preston fan on another forum:

Quote:
Right here s the deal with Parkin.

Lazy , over weight oaf , who despite time and faclities a plenty cant even be bothered to get fit. Doesnt jump but prefers to drag his opponent down to get the foul. Wont chase cant chase.

Beer belly.

Has one good game in about 20. Similar to my record.

Useless embaressment , not a footballer.

Goodbye fatty.

Ah!, well Parkin did score some vital goes for Preston during his time there, isn't the fickleness of footie fans great.

Can remember Parkin playing against us in the FA Cup a couple of years ago, didn't pose any threat at all really even though the commentators bigged him up beforehand. Cardiff should have went for Neil Mellor instead

Aston villa have a pretty class reserve squad actually.

And no excuse but Arsenal were playing with 10 men for 82 minutes.

Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has made up his mind to quit the Gunners and looks to be heading to Turkey.
According to the Star, the Spaniard told friends his Arsenal days are numbered and that Galatasaray are favourites to sign him.

The error-prone 'keeper has fallen out of favour at the Emirates, with Lukasz Fabianski and Wojciech Szczesny apparently now ahead of him in the pecking order.

Arsneal are believed to be asking for £1.5m for the 33-year-old.

Could easily get 3m for him.

Arsene Wenger has moved to reject fresh reports in Spain that an agreement has been reached to sell Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona.
The Gunners stood firm to fend off the interest of Barcelona during the summer, with a £30million bid for their star midfielder rejected. Wenger maintains there has been no softening on that stance.

OMG..

Arsene Wenger is rumoured to be readying a bid for Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol. The Arsenal boss has stated his desire to bring in more defensive options and is keen on bringing the Spanish international to the Emirates in January.
25 year old Raul Albiol arrived at the Bernabeu in June of 2009 and was a regular under previous boss Manuel Pellegrini, making 42 appearances in all competitions but he has since lost his starting eleven spot to Portuguese international Pepe which has led the former Valencia man to being restricted to just five La Liga starts this season.
The strong tackling centre back may well then be open to offers that give him regular first team football which will in turn increase the chances of Albiol getting a starting spot in the Spanish national team. Wenger has previously been linked with the likes of Per Mertesacker and Neven Subotic but moves to sign either of the Bundesliga stars have been hampered by the their respective clubs refusing any approaches for their prized assets.

Hes ****ing class!!!!
