Madonna has been round for such a long time that she can do what ever she wants now. A true icon now beating age and sex discrimination.

Like I said, she's made some good songs (Ray of Light is an example).
Doesn't make her a good singer. And her "Evita" era really shouldn't be used as an example of how good she is, I won't discuss what I think of her acting but you can probably guess.
As for her live vocals, credit for not lip synching (a lot of the time) but she sounds very flat and monotone.
