Not sure how Hazel managed to keep her cool at all. And I'm saying this as someone who usually prefers Charlie to Hazel.

I can't believe how unbelievably stupid and insensitive Charlie was to ask those types of questions. I agree when Hazel said that "her worst enemy" wouldn't have said those things to her.

However, I don't for a second think she meant to cause any hurt and I think she really did feel terrible and absolutely redeemed herself by not only her apology to Hazel, but also by later again acknowledging her flaws and explaining herself when Jemima and her mum were arguing.

Justified. I think when Charlie started talking about it she should have gaged that it wasnt the right think to say then just say 'sorry I didnt mean that, i dont know what iw as thinking' but she kinda kept on till the end of what she was going to say then it took a second to realise it was totally the wrong thing to say. That said I know she wasnt trying to hurt Hazel and Hazel dealt with it very well. The only reason she talked to a few people about it was that they are the ppl who are closest to her as was said on BBOTS tonight

I think Hazel overreacted. It was obvious to me that Charlie was, in her naive sort of way, trying to make a compliment of the fact that losing Hazel, her fiancé was moved to commit suicide. For Hazel to then not want to talk about it (for the next 6 hours!!) was hypocritical to say the least. Hazel's act of forgiveness at the end of this time was very theatrical. I really wanted Charlie to say 'thanks but no thanks' to the requested 'hug' - (grasp of the preying mantis). Hazel realised that she looked a complete berk making such a song and dance of it, hence the back-tracking. I personally like Charlie. She seems a genuinely nice girl and would NOT have meant for Hazel to take what she said, in the way she did. I also got the impression that the 6 hours of discussion about it was a game-playing tactic by Hazel. Not sure I like her any more. Does she ever go without make-up????

I agree in part with this, Hazel was milking the situation to the max, using it to suck others into seeing her as a victim of a huge scandal..whereas in reality it was just an honest mistake.

Plus, Hazel did actually allude to it in a way and Charlie was almost just finishing her sentence of for her. If Hazel was so sensitive about it, why did she even bring it up in the first place?

For me it was a small thing that got twisted into something much more sinister.

Agree. The way Hazel said it she implied as much.

I think it was a genuine misunderstanding between the two. These two don't seem to get on all that well if they can have such a huge misunderstanding. Hazel has implied that she's not too keen on Charlie too. This could be a feud to watch for the future.

I don't think Hazel's reaction was an overreaction. I think she just needed some time to think about, talk it through with the people she is closest with and get over it. I mean she hugged Charlie as if to say she was over it and accepted Charlie's earlier apology.

haha definitely, Hazel really doesn't feel to me to have forgiven Charlie at all.
