It should be legalised full stop, there is no reason why it should be illegal when smoking and alcohol isn't. It doesn't come with the risks of cancer, liver failure and other medical problems associated with those two and cannabis is a calming substance, it's not going to lead to as many violent and anti-social problems as drinking does.

The fact that it does have proven benefits for medical issues is just more evidence of why it shouldn't be a restricted substance. The government are fools for not legalising it yet since there's only benefits to do so and legalising it would allow them to tax it which would bring more money in which is only a good thing.
