My experience and of others I have spoken to it is the left thinkers more inclined to report people for trivial things - hence why more 'right thinkers' get banned.
The amount of posts I've had deleted? certainly too many to count.

Believe me that works both ways. I used to get quite annoyed at posts of mine being removed that I felt were not offensive, but not so bothered now.

Alternatively, not all that many reports are made at all. The mods actually read threads, you know... A post doesn't have to be reported to be deleted or get an infraction .

A good point, and what I also find odd is that it's often those who claim to be champions of 'free speech' and not being politically correct who are the first to express their faux outrage when the likes of Frankie Boyle stands on a comedy stage at a comedy festival and makes a joke about a taboo subject. Strange that...

Well i can say confidently that i've never hit the report button since i've been here.I think debates should be left to go in whatever direction they take.

It's the left thinkers most guilty in their attempt to thwart free speech.

So why is it usually right wingers who are oh so offended when comedians make jokes about taboo subjects, and demand they be banned from TV/apologise?

Speaking of political correctness what d'you all think of this.It was from 2013.Do you think this woman should've been sacked?

She made a tweet just before boarding a plane for an 11 hour flight to Africa and found out it had been retweeted over 2,000 times when she landed. She was then fired.
The Tweet read -

'Going to Africa. Hope I don't get AIDS. Just kidding. I'm white!'

I think tbh it was just a dumb joke and she was trying to be funny.

I will have to take your word for that, but not a fan of stand-up comics personally, usually a bunch of miserable misogynistic old farts most of the time.

However I'm not too bothered by their limited humour, but, like everything, there has to be limits and when they attack the disabled or other such groups it's distasteful. I do vaguely remember Frank ?Skinner, can't remember his name, apparently made some nasty comments about Katie Price's disabled son under the guise of humour which is pretty rank tbh. People often use humour and so-called 'jokes' to insult others- just cowards.

I would imagine the old lefties get pretty fired-up by racist/PC jokes. Every side has its 'sensitives', I very much doubt it's exclusive to the 'right wingers'.

should Andy gray have been sacked for a joke about a lines woman? should sharon Osborne have been sacked for mocking a man who bled to death from having his penis dismembered by a psychotic woman. Andy was sacked sharon didn't even get a slap on the wrists simply because she's a woman. imagine a man laughing about a woman who had her vaginally cut open and bled to death

That was Frankie Boyle and I think that was particularly bad because he was making a joke about a specific person, a specific child more to the point, that was cruel imo

yeah frankie boyle, decided it was funny to suggest a disabled child may rape his mother, no doubt the sancimonious twat would claim it was taken out of context, whatever, it is cheap laughs, unfunny, mean spirited etc etc like a lot of his attention seeking drivel.. totally over rated and in that case very nasty

I agree. Very liberal of you. Is this where you personally draw the line on political correctness? You havent actually answered the question in the OP yet.

What about misogynists; those red pillers who generally hate women and use every opportunity to rant on about toxic feminism and believe in the whole conspiracy that feminism/women are fcuking up society.

You need to get out of the matrix before it swallows you whole.

Bollocks. I actually don't think the right/left divide comes into it at all. There are varying opinions on the amount of free speech we should / shouldn't be allowed on both "sides". Plenty of heavily right leaning posters on here who would happily stifle free speech (in the name of security, for example) and likewise those leaning the other way politically who would limit it far more strictly than I would ever agree with.

Case in point; this is basically what me and Kirk would PM about fairly frequently... our political opinions essentially never aligned. Ever. BUT we were both of the opinion that everyone should be able to say pretty much whatever they want without fear of official sanction. So we used to PM each other to get an unbiased opinion on the "fairness" of responses to things, because we each knew that the other would almost certainly disagree with the actual opinions expressed in the post, and so would only be giving an objective view on the post as it stood otherwise.

I do miss ol' Kirk's PMS. Sniffle.

(Under the correct definition, which most people who talk about the subject probably use, man-hating feminists do not exist. These women are misandrists, not feminists - if it seems like people give them a freepass, its because nobody considers what they have to say as relevant or important, for they are the female equivalent of meninists, and nobody takes meninists seriously either).

Cheap, tacky jokes are nearly always made at the expense of women, just like the example given in the other thread about sick jokes. Always have been. The old mother-in-law type jokes etc. Apart from blatant misogyony it also demonstrates what a bunch of tired old, untalented, unoriginal bores they are.
