That depends if they think they have the right to verbally personally abuse me for having a different opinion.

My point is you are one of the posters who have been waging some kind of vendetta against what you consider 'pc' and yet you suggest you yourself are neutral... Which is totally not the case.

I remember one instance where a lecturer suggested people being gay made him feel the same way that incest did, do you remember that one?
The student who reported him was then the subject of his online ravings and panel discussions for months!

She is now forever in your mind as a 'ridiculously PC hard leftie' .. Which is both untrue and unfair.

You are one of those that through your own ignorance perpetrate myths that spread misinformation to other ignorant people, that instead of reasoning out the issue for themselves are happy to agree it's the young person that is at fault for daring to question the prejudice from those in authority.

And you don't feel being labeled 'pc' for having a different opinion is abuse?

I never said i’m neutral.I said i still find the internet a strange place with all these opinions that you’d never normally hear and that i think arguing online is futile.Which it is.
Debating and arguing are different things.

Not really, it is on one hand just a term for those that take controlling free speech too literally and too far, OTOH it can be a term for those with agendas and on a power trip maliciously trying to force their opinions on to others. Hardly in the same catagory of abuse as accusing someone of hating people for the colour of their skin etc.

You are an instigator then, you post a vid with a very obvious bias to provoke a reaction?

So basically it's a nonsense term to use when you're too ignorant or lazy to counter their opinion with something reasoned and structured of your own?

Seems an odd thing to say when very recently you were being accused of trying to provoke reactions with all your PC speech ie mansplaining.

Everyone’s an instigator when someone disagrees with you....

Nope.... That's already been done, by guess who?

This Monty Python clip from Life of Brian shows just how visionary they were. This comedy scene is the reality today.

Certainly, some things have started going too far, mostly in that people seem to be incapable of independent thought and consideration at this point and are just sheep following certain "rules" that have been set out about what you "can and can't say", and when.

Of course, the flipside can go to far as well. Far too many people have decided that the best solution to this going too far, is to go COMPLETELY in the other direction and have ZERO sense of appropriateness or social etiquette... and feel that they should just be able to say WHATEVER they want to whoever they want, at any time, without repercussions. We don't want to backpedal all the way back to the mid 20th century where racism, homophobia, misogyny etc. were all part and parcel of everyday life but at the same time, yes, it's getting to the point where it's going to be impossible to live any sort of normal existence with the complexity of it.

I personally feel like a good balance was struck in the late 90's / early 00's, started to get a bit daft around 2010, and since 2015 it's all become a bit of a farce.
Yup. Agree with all of this.

I don't often post about things I genuinely do think is 'PC gorn mad' as I don't want to align myself with those who think they should just be able to be openly racist or whatnot. But the world is in a bit of a state right now, its pretty undeniable. Everyone gets offended by every little thing it seems.

If there's anything that tibb has taught me, it's that those who cry PC are often to most PC (when it suits)

What you keep conveniently ignoring is that the anti-snowflakes were created by the snowflakes constantly objecting to their opinions and trying to shut them down.

What was the obvious result of that ... surprise, surprise they gave the snowflakes a taste of their own medicine by complaing about their opinions. Again people shouldn’t give it if they can’t it.

Nah, they weren't psychic, if anything what it shows is that although some of the older generations would like to pretend that all of these arguments and issues are "brand new" and "bloody millennials" - it's pretty clear that it's an argument that's been around for decades.
