Oh no Sticks - you've given me a mission!

I'll see what I can do - but it's harder than I first imagined. As you can appreciate I am only getting small details because Jennifer is of course a friends friend, rather than a friend of my own - so I am not aware of her family etc.

So how old is Jennifer's baby and how can she leave her?
Because she's a wannabe who needs money and may want to model and why not singing.

It's not a case of being looked after - Jennifer's daughter is being looked after fine.

For Sticks, the issue is absence.

I hope shes out soon,.. and she knows, what the North east is like.. she wont be garunteed a great reception when she does return.. I'm in the north east,.. and from what I've heard, not many people are impressed with her, to say the least.
As a housemate,.. shes an amoeba, thick, and obviously bigged herself up in her VT, without having the slighest intention of seeing all the 'controversial opinions' stuff through. Shes scared of Alex and the wolves.. shes a big disappointment.. in a number of ways.
her pathetic 'flirting with dale, for a magazine deal is laughable, and pathetic.
What a loser the girl is.
Agreed. Nothing would make me leave my daughter who's just slighly older than her little girl, for such a potentially long time. It's somewhat unnatural.

But all people are not the same.

It's not going to affect her little girl. Some people have the same situation if a parent goes into hospital for a long time. It's not going to affect her child. You make it sound like it was an easy decision for Jennifer - it could've been very difficult.

Like I said, though, everyones different. You can't apply your own beliefs and expectations to other people.

You can visit relatives in hospital... her child certainly will be affected if they have a bond of any sort.

No you can't. Sometimes the doctors advise against allowing the child to see the parent if they're in a distressing situation.

This can happen for months, and the child is fine.

I know this is skimming the issue somewhat, but long term that child won't be affected negatively. It'll provide a healthy attachment figurehead if the parent can have an absence but come back each time. The problem starts when the parent doesn't come back.

Exactly, plus sometimes a young child may get it into their head that the parent went away because they were naughty causing long term psychological trauma.

The other issue, is that when Jennifer gets out, I did not want her loosing custody and being denied access.

Since she is with grandparents and her father may have access, (Lauren to confirm), we would hope social services would not swoop in a baby harvesting raid. (David's prior cocaine use could be used against him) One possible danger would be if David initiated divorce proceedings and applied for custody, hence the urging not to do anything hasty.

Which leads to the next issue, this family has been fractured, and needs to be healed, if possible. From what I have read, it does seem that Jennifer developed a psychological addition and Endemol / C4 took advantage - as they always do

I guess its not really for me to say, but i personally couldnt do it to my children.
Especially since i think its more than possible that her life will change when she getsout the house, whether in a bad way or not we'll have to wait and see.
Some people just fade back into their normal life after leaving the show, i just cant see that happening to her.
