…Amy Adams also had to go off to do some filming for Hillbilly Elergy as well while the reshoots for this were happening …so it all just sounds a bit disjointed…(…I’m not sure if disjointed is a movie filming term…a bit higgledy piggledy…?…)… |

Oh! I recognised him from The Sinner season 2. Didn't realise he wrote it.

…I read that how his personality was depicted in the movie wasn’t that accurate to the Jim that closer friends knew…and Oliver Stone himself said that his Jim Morrison of the movie was more an abstract painting of the person, his ‘artist interpretation’….
…he was an incredible talent and his performances were intense …/…mesmerising… Last edited by Ammi; 18-05-2021 at 06:39 PM. |

Oh Ammi I meant to get back about Detroit, I started watching it but I had to turn it off, it was just like watching a constant news report and I just wasn't enjoying it so I turned it off

…that’s what I thought at the beginning, is this more like a documentary/real news blend type movie…but that’s just the first bit…if you do feel that you want to continue, I promise you’ll be gripped as it takes a completely different vibe…yet it’s all connected as well…it was important to establish how it was for the Afro American population moving into towns and cities at the beginning…and as slavery ended…

I'll give it another go at lunchtime
I actually watched Premonition after I turned it off, I had seen it years ago but I didn't remember it very well, it's pretty good, have you seen it?

…is that the Sandra Bullock one…?…if it is that one, yes I’ve seen it…but a long time ago and I liked it at the time …so I’m fine to watch when I can fit it in and do a review if you want to as well…?…I think that it might be that one because I did notice it was screening again and listed in the popular watches…

Ok I will give it another go, how far in does it stop being news reporty do you think?
And yes the Sandra Bullock one, no panic, I'll do a review today for that one

…it’s actually not too far in…I don’t want to give too much away obviously but I guess that it could be described as a three section story and establishing the emotions in Detroit between the police and the black community is important so that the actual ‘event’ can follow on ….we also have to be introduced to some significant characters which we are in the first half….I don’t know in terms of actual time but it didn’t feel that long in establishing it once the movie reached the specific story it was telling…

….hmmmmm, it’s hard to think….maybe you’re 10/15ish minutes away from the actual event….Has Will Poulter’s character as a police officer come into it yet…?…I was thinking that if you’ve felt the tensions already, maybe you could skip over some…but it’s important to see all of his character scenes from the beginning, I think…
