It's so weird seeing them have fun on the feed clips. The main show just air all the game talk and plotting.

BBUK's editing has gone so downhill post-BB14 really. The thing is C5 always select their chosen 'pet' for the series and forcefully shove them down our throats for weeks on end and try to force something that wasn't even there to begin with (see Helen Wood, Perez, Katie H, Marc, Steph & Jeremy, Bear and any other future HM's who'll soon be joining this list)

And as a result of this, the editing isn't as balanced as it used to be either. It's all manufactured conflict and screaming matches with little to no fun or normal interaction whatsoever (BB15 and CBB15)

oh trust me, I don't disagree at all, but even so to me things just feel so much worse with BBUS because when you look at how the episodes are produced and edited, it's evident that this is a show that discourages complexity, strives for its characters to be as one note as possible, scripts every line for them to scream in the DR, and more less casts the same group of assholes year in and year out. It's hard for me to recognize a lot of the HGs as actual human beings rather than just vague archetypes they're checking off of their checklist, and even though BBUK leans towards this trend too it just feels sooooo much more blatant in BBUS that it actually offends me. IDK, I just think the show is frustratingly dumbed down each year and it's really insulting and depressing that they think this is what the audience wants, but then again I keep watching so I'm the loser in all of this.

Despite it being mostly game talk I like to think BBUS editing/episodes/in general is better because it's not focused on one person or a clique, pretty much all of them get air time so we know they are there.. If Meg was on BBUK she wouldn't get much air time and will be called boring because she doesn't get involved in arguments, she wasn't that exciting on BB17 but we knew she was there.

BBCan leads the way as far as editing is concerned IMO. They strike the perfect balance of character development, game talk and ~irreverent moments~, plus the narrative usually aligns with the feeds which is more than can be said for BBUS

BB17's episodes did have their irreverent moments; the problem being that said irreverent moments usually involved Steve falling in love with camera equipment and very little else

I don't even think BBUS editing is that balanced, like looking at this season Bridgette and Natalie are edited out of half the episodes, Zakiyah was edited out of the entire season with the exception of her boot week and the one time they showed her fight with Paulie, Corey pretty much doesn't exist, and Michelle was completely edited out of the episodes until she won OTEV. Jason just got out of like a fifteen episode stretch where Steve didn't have any DRs except for the one where he climaxed when Becky lost POV. Within each episode there's only room for the HOH, potential nominees, and one or two more Big Characters or self-appointed masterminds.

She got plenty of air time well not as much as others but we knew she existed, she wasn't special just sweet and likeable. But on the UK version(C5 era) if there was a bore you will probably forget about them most of the time. That's why I like BBUS/CAN shows because they don't just focus on a clique/one person that it gets exhausting to watch, that's why I love US bb more than the UK version now.

All the good people are being evicted one by one. Losing Audrey, Jason, Clay, Shelli and Jackie consecutively whilst the likes of Johnny ****ing Mac and the crap ones from the Sixth Sense (Austin and the Twins) are still in is annoying. I only feel strongly about Vanessa at this point (she survived <333). I only care about the top 4 really. The twins need more airtime tbh as I liked them to begin with but they've both been really boring ever since the whole twin twist thing came to an end like 4 weeks ago.

I know I sound like a broken record here but Johnny is sooo ****ing irritating. Like I genuinely don't know why he's so popular or why people find him funny? I don't understand the appeal whatsoever. Outside all of his scripted, put-on, OTT DR entries (it's kinda sad how that's his only claim to airtime really) he's just an extremely one-note character.

I adored them in the first few weeks but they've slipped into the background recently. They need more airtime and it doesn't help that I'm not watching the feeds either so I really only have the main shows to base my opinions on. One of them needs to win a HoH or something.
