Default Sprain time !

Yesterday evening, I fell on the floor while being at rugby training session. I didn't feel anything until...this morning. I woke up earlier, and then I realized I couldn't move my right foot, it went blue and rather big.

Should I go to the hospital (my mum is a nurse and she doesn't know yet), or should I wait until tomorrow to see if it still hurts because I have an exam on Friday and an English oral to run on Monday which I didn't work on it yet ?

The worst thing of all is that I won't be allowed to play rugby for at least a month.

Put on a cold compress... something like a bag of ice, hold it there quite tightly. It should make the swelling and bruising go down, and numb the pain. If it's really persisting then go to the hospital just incase you've done something a bit worse than a sprain!!

Same thing happened to me after a .... drunken... accident.

agree with the cold compress plus have your foot raised up and keep off it as much as you can the fact its bruised and swollen and you cant move it says to me more than a sprain and i'd take a trip up the hospital to have it checked

What Loz and Mich said! You may need to get it dressed up,it sounds like it might need more than a bit of ice.

When I was at a concert in July,I went to bed after it and my ankle was really killing, wasn't until I was queuing for the concert the next day, that I saw it was all cut and purple, fun running and standing for hours on that, lol!

Thanks guys. I put some ice and a tight sock (you know the ones which make you feel you have no foot anymore lol). Now I'm waiting for my mum to come back from the hospital to see if it's big or not and I'll see. I generally never complain because with every hit you get in rugby, you don't mind them but a sprain is rather harsh.

Thanks for the advice.
