Default X Factor 2009 celebrity duets confirmed

As rumoured, Sir Paul McCartney and George Michael will be performing and we’ll be seeing the return of some other guest stars…

According to TV3’s Xposé, Sir Paul McCartney and George Michael will appear on Saturday’s show. Robbie Williams and Michael Buble are also due to return to the stage after performing on this year’s results show.

It was originally rumoured that Simon had been attempting to sign Coldplay’s Chris Martin to sing with Stacey however this now appears to be only a rumour, much to the disappointment of Stacey fans.

It is expected Olly will duet with Robbie, Joe with George Michael and Stacey with Michael Buble.

As for guest performers on the night, Leona Lewis, Madonna and Beyonce are all due to perform their latest singles.

So in short we have

SATURDAY: Paul McCartney, George Michael, Robbie (?) and Michael Buble (?) performing alone.

SUNDAY: Leona, Beyonce and Madonna performing alone.

I think that's right, the article is a bit confusing.

I'm basing it on how many fans the artists have got. George Michael and Paul McCartney aren't really current anymore, and I'm guessing more younger people watch the show than older people do- so there is more than likely gonna be a lot more Robbie fans watching the other 2.

I dunno though, obviously the other 2 are still just as capable with the fans they've got but Olly will probably get more votes from the artists fans than the other 2.

What song would Leona be performing, she only did Happy a few weeks ago. Beyonce presumably Video Phone. And Michael Buble again aswell, what would he perform.

Ah interesting, at first glance I'd say it could boost Stacey's chances as Paul McCartney is probably the best known but then again Robbie's the only current artist. I still think Joe's probably gonna win though the celebrity duets are a lot more balanced this year.
