TIBB's RED DEVIL!!!
|
Am I alone in finding it very derogatory?, no doubt some people deserve the use of that name by the way they behave but what Sov did towards Steph and Ivana was petulant and sulky and a bit rude but I think in general it's quite snobbish towards people who live on council estates, some people are lovely some are just troublemakers but it's singling out people which is stereotypical in my book... Sov is not a bad person but the fact some keep emphasising that word they make it sound like she's that bad lol.

I notice you don't feel calling someone a snob is derogatory and stereotypical. Funny that.

Nothing in excess
|
I know the word 'chav' entered the linguistic repertoire in 2005, but we have been using the word 'charva' for much longer than that here in the North and it was, in fact, a word mostly used by the working class.
So no, I have no problem using the word 'chav' or any of its variants. If you don't want to be called one, try not hurling abuse at everyone who walks past you or mugging old ladies. |

The word is over used, and has basically no meaning any more.

Yeah because you'll see the Queen wearing a sovereign ring probably bought from Argos (heavily associated with chavs).
