Me thinks Raph is over compensating for his lack of masculinity these past few months.

Manchester United will go west to prepare for the 2010/11 season, with new matches announced today for Toronto, Philadelphia, Kansas City and Houston.
The squad, headed by Ryan Giggs and including stars such as Paul Scholes, Edwin van der Sar, Darren Fletcher, Antonio Valencia, John O’Shea, Michael Owen and Dimitar Berbatov, will be bolstered by a number of the promising young players, such as Federico Macheda and the da Silva twins. First stop is a training camp in Chicago, home of new shirt sponsors Aon. This will be followed by a visit to the Rogers Center in Toronto for a match against Celtic on 16 July, then a return to the Lincoln Financial Field, where United played in 2003 and 2004, against Philadelphia Union on 21 July. Four days later, the Kansas City Wizards provide the opposition at the Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City. The US matches are completed in Houston on 28 July with a game against the MLS All-Stars in the Reliant Stadium. Two days later, as already announced, the squad will play the Club’s first ever match in Mexico to open Chivas’ new 45,000 seat stadium in Guadalajara. Sir Alex Ferguson said: “It’s great to be going back to North America. I enjoyed the last two tours there in 2003 and 2004 immensely. The quality of the facilities is outstanding and there is a real enthusiasm in the crowds. It’s especially pleasing to be going in a World Cup year, when the interest in football will be at its height.”

Dimitar Berbatov has admitted that he is uncertain about his future at Manchester United after a disappointing season at Old Trafford.
The Bulgaria captain, who announced his decision to quit international football on Thursday, is worried about the prospect of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson adding another striking option in the summer. With reports linking United to Primera Liga pair Karim Benzema and David Villa, the 29-year-old thinks his options will be limited next season. "I'm sure United will buy a new striker - but I am there and that's important," he said. "In my two years, things could have been better but they could have been worse, too. I have had my moments. "I have won the title and the Carling Cup but people had great expectations for the money it cost to sign me. We do not know what will happen in the third year." Despite his United future looking bleak, Berbatov denied suggestions that he is lining up a new club, and insists he is happy at Old Trafford. "I will try to fulfil my contract because where would I go after United? I have reached the top with them. "I do not know about interest from other clubs and I have had no meetings." So he should be worried, Berbatov is a good player but for some reason it just hasn't happened for him at United.. think he might be sold although Fergie will probably give him one more season to prove his worth.

JOSE MOURINHO is convinced he will succeed Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager.
The new Real Madrid coach has mapped out a managerial masterplan that takes him to Old Trafford when Ferguson steps aside. Ferguson has twice hinted recently that he will quit United in two years and that will open the door for Mourinho's dramatic return to the Premier League. Despite tensions between the pair when Mourinho was Chelsea boss, they are good friends and are in regular contact by telephone. The Portuguese coach is plotting a path that takes him to Real Madrid to win La Liga before a sensational return to English football at United. Mourinho set himself a target to pick up league titles in England, Italy and Spain as part of his long-term strategy to get the United job. He has already achieved stunning success with Chelsea and Inter, but his dream is to manage the world's biggest football club. His next stop is Real Madrid and he will start with the target of wrestling the title from Barcelona in his first season. Although Real Madrid will be another short-term project for Mourinho, he has told friends he would be in it for the long-haul if he is offered the United job. Mourinho initially feared United's suits may not see the controversial coach as the "right fit", but he has been assured that is not the case. He has turned down approaches from Manchester City (twice) and soundings from Liverpool in order to keep the option of managing United open. Instead he now wants to manage the world's biggest football clubs as part of a project that includes spells at Inter, Real Madrid and United. Mourinho rejected Garry Cook's last summer and despite a remarkably discreet effort by City's standards in recent weeks, he is not interested. The former Chelsea manager established himself as the most sought-after coach in Europe again after Inter's Euro triumph. He remains big box office in England and he is confident that he will become United's manager when Ferguson retires. Fergie hinted that he will quit in two years time during a speech at a sportsman's dinner held for Premier League referee Mark Halsey. And chief executive David Gill said about Mourinho this week: "He's done well, hasn't he? He has certainly got something about him. He's a winner."

Manchester United will ask veteran trio Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville to remain at Old Trafford as coaches when their playing days come to an end.
All three have recently penned one-year extension deals, which will keep them at the Red Devils until the end of next season. Giggs has almost 800 appearances for United since progressing through the youth system, while Neville and Scholes are both exceeding 500 outings for the club. And United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes theit vast experience is central to developing the future generations on the red half of Manchester. "They are living proof for young players that the United [Manchester United] system allows players to succeed," Ferguson told L’Equipe. "When they stop playing they will stay. All three are taking their coaching diplomas. I don’t think the club will pass up that much experience." Ferguson also earmarked Patrice Evra, John O’Shea and Darren Fletcher as future team leaders, will addressing concerns regarding United’s debt following recent comments from out-going Ben Foster and chief executive David Gill. "Protesting has become a reflex action these days. There are fans protesting against the Glazers [Manchester United's owners], which doesn’t bother me because it doesn’t interfere with the team," he added. "The fans love their club here and they are worried. I don’t share their worry. "I have a talented squad, a superb training complex, a magnificent stadium, we’re fighting for the biggest titles every season so it’s easy for me to keep my distance from all these issues." United legends!.
