As I confirmed last month, cast and crew at Hollyoaks have been frantically busy shooting the soap's new opening titles.

Originally scheduled to air from Monday (July 5), the new titles have now been delayed by a week.

Owing to the relentless task of filming so many actors (and a dog!) against the green screen, the work really starts in the editing suite where CGI imagery is superimposed.

The Channel 4 soap's new look will now officially launch on July 12 - and not from July 9 during E4's first look screening.

I'm more concerned with the quality of the show rather then it's credits sequence. Let's hope the new producer can make good on his potential.

Paul Marquess isn't afraid to make big decisions if things go well and even the most popular actors with the fans aren't safe from being axed if he wanted to get rid of them
