Don't be silly, better than Prince. At the time I fell in love with Ruth's version, but now I listen to Treyc maybe it was better I don't know. Purple rain is a song meant to be sang with soul and passion, Ruth screamed most of the way.

Have to agree that Ruth Lorenzo made that song her own when she sang it in the sing off, brilliant.
However Treyc did it really good and she was one of the strongest on the night.

Treyc was one of the best last night but it was inevitable people would compare the performance to Ruth's, if you dont think about that and just focus on Treyc's version then it was an outstanding performance

Treyc shouted her way through her version, just as bad, if not worse than Ruth! But Ruths didn't feel as polished which I prefer

But in hindsight I think a lot of praise for ruths version comes from that noone expected it, the previous week she'd been singing a ballad in a floaty dress with her tits out

I don't like Prince's version though
