He [together with Aiden] was the highlight of the show but what's with the sob stories? It surely is getting annoying.

OK FFS do NOT do that. No!

I mean seriously for a minute.. where the EFF do you get off trying to attach Aiden to Matt's incredible performance?
The effing BALLS to actually try and sneak that in here. Shame on you.

Matt was AMAZING. The opposite of that godawful screeching frankenstein Grim.

Simon called it - completely and utterly stunning. Rebecca can stand beside Matt tonight,
but,
Matt gets all credit and considering what a tremendously difficult song to pull off like that.

There is absolutely ZERO debate about it and we are not going to play a fake 'trolling skit' where we pretend its 'arguable'. You know what you did wrong so just knock it off.

He's been doing the same thing since week 3 now, I loved his first two performances and I'd have liked this performance if I hadn't seen the same thing two weeks previously. I was pretty jaded and bored by the whole thing. Good voice but for the moment that's all there is to Matt. He needs to change it up and find something that's unique about him.

He was good. Nearly as good as Shayne Ward.

Isn't Aiden the same,he is intense everyweek and very samey, imo Matt has done well with his songs and last night he blew the competition out of the water,I listen to music I like over and over,if it's good it doesn't matter if it's repetitive, but I don't think Matt is anyway,I always look forward to watching him,Come to think of it most of them are repetitive.

I enjoyed it, I thought it was stunning, but I agree with Dezzy - he's done the same thing for five weeks now, singing a stereotypically female song in a falsetto voice. If that's all there is to him, then he's nothing more than the 2010 version of Shayne Ward, without the variety in his performances.

That's Aiden's niche though and more importantly he has adapted songs to match his style. Matt's just a voice at the moment, there's no artistic merit there or personality within his performances, singing in Falsetto isn't really a niche. He's got quite the potentially stadium-esque voice, I think they should have ventured down the path of Week 1 he does upbeat and uplifting well but they've turned him into a boring ballad singer who could sing anything but beyond that adds nothing to anything. If he was a woman or not as attractive he wouldn't be the favourite at the moment.

Despite the awful theme next week at least we'll hopefully see him doing something different. Let's hope he turns it around and shows off the spark he used to have.

Also if you're going to make comparisions, he's easily the male Treyc.

Completely disagree, his singing falsetto is as much a niche as being intense is.

Btw what is the theme next week?

I agree,it's Matts 'thing' as Aidens is his intensity, and If Matt is good at falsetto, and people like it ,why should he change?people did this on American Idol last year, one of the singers Casey James had a vibrato to his voice and people (some)were saying he shouldn't sing like that ,when infact he did a rendition of 'Jealous Guy' which was stunning, the vibrato in his voice was one thing I liked about him.I guess it takes all sorts,Aiden was no way as good as Matt last night
