Unhappy I Don't Think We Realised, Just How Amazing Ultimate Big Brother Could Of Been?

Seriously,

I was on the bus on Thursday Night,
There was about 9 Bomb Scares around the city and it was pissing down and windy so I was on the bus for almost 2 hours, traffic not moving.

And I decided to watch some videos on my iPod.

Big Brother Episodes.

I watched parts of:

Big Brother 9 The Zoo Task Episode
Big Brother 7 The Episode After Suzie Came
Big Brother 11 The Episode Were John and Rachael Argued Over Nuts
Ultimate Big Brother Nikki's 'Who Is She!' Task

And then I watched in full:

Big Brother 5: Living With Evil

I tend to have an 'emergency' ration of Big Brother videos incase I'm ever stuck in major boredom you see.

So anyway,

Whilst watching the Ultimate Big Brother episode I realised something,

I don't think I or alot of other people, realised just how amazing Ultimate Big Brother was.

Of course, The name was bollocks.

Big Brother All Stars FTW!

But I mean, we have always dreamed... well not dreamed, but we've always said every year things like:

'I can't wait for this new series, I hope all the old housemates go back lol'

'If they did a BB All Stars, who would be your top 10?'

'How amazing would it be to have Ex Housemates back in the same house?'

'I hope for the last series we get a BB All Stars series'

And we actually got that, like we actually got people like Victor, Michelle, Nikki, Brian, Coolio etc

All living under the same roof.

But for some reason, It just didn't feel as special as I thought it'd be?

What do you think it was?

Was it the fact it was far too short?
Was it the fact the housemates were bollocks?
Maybe you wanted no celebrities?
Was it the fact that they ignored BB9 and BB10?

Share.

I blame it on the housemates tbh, How on earth the producers thought Ulrika Jonsson was a Ultimate Housemate over people like Rex Newmark, Marcus Akin and some of the BB6 Lot, Is beyond me.

I will never understand that.

The celebrity spots could of been filled with some good real housemates that we spent all summer watching at some point in the last 10 years.

I think it was always going to be disapointing because of how much the hms had changed since we last saw them and how aware they was of what they did in there.

Yeah for example:

Nikki and Michelle.

Brian Dowling stayed the same though, It's weird how someone stayed the same since 2001 and people like Nikki changed so much since 2006

ik!! i was quite dissapointed with Nikki actually although its probably better for her health that shes called down. :L

Anyway I think it just proved that they should have stuck in later bb9/bb10 housemates because they haven't had as much fame and haven't changed as much. It could have been epic :/

I think it's because they knew what they were getting themselves in for...And it just wasn't the same.

I also think it's partially because it was quite short. If it was longer and more housemates entered it would of been a very good series.

I lost any interest in the show after John went after 3 days and then Coolio was forced out the next day. After that the only housemate I liked was Brian so I was glad he won but I just didnt care about the show tbh.

Most people would say BB11 was sh*te but I really enjoyed it, the housemates were more likeable and I actually wanted to tune in to see what was happening, whereas I didnt with UBB, if you actually look at the HM's:

Nick: I'm not going to put nasty in front of his name because he wasnt, although he was hindered by their refusal to show BBLBC on the HL show

Chantelle: Overemotional wreck, got bored quickly

Preston: Did ****** all

Makosi: She was mildly entertaining I suppose

Nadia: Bitch meant that Coolio left

Victor: He was alright

Brian: He was good, really funny at times

Nikki: Thought she'd be good but she wasnt

Michelle: She was just boring this time round (comparitively anyway)

Ulrika: Dont get me started

Vanessa: Should never have been in

When I think of it like that, there were only really 3 housemates that interested me nce John and Coolio left

Yeah she was a whingy cow who thought the show revolved around her.

No matter what they say about "mutual agreement" Coolio was basically forced out

The celebrity choices were absolutely awful. Ulrika's nice but boring. Preston and Chantelle going in was ridiculously contrived. Coolio and John were good choices but taken away within 3 days, and Vanessa was too late to make any impact.

They should've used 3 at most - Pete Burns DEFINITELY being one of them.

Of the normal BB HMs - too many BB5, not enough BB6. Makosi was fantastic but she had little to play with: Nikki, Nick, Michelle, Brian were all too wary and obsessed with playing it safe.

Victor was also terribly boring this time around. And Josie didn't even compare to the likes of them.

They should've got the genuine nutcases in. Kemal, Shahbaz, Kinga, Charley, Marco.

Personally, I really enjoyed it. For me it was the best series since BB5.

I do wish it had been separated from BB11 though. Watching it back, Ulrika sucking up to Josie is vomit inducing.

There could always have been a different mix of ex-housemates chosen, both normal and celeb. Nobody was going to be completely happy.

If it was to be run again I wouldn't change any of the housemates with the exception of Ulrika.

Great stuff, a fitting end to the show.

I LOVED Ultimate Big Brother. It was so much better than BB11 imo. I wish it would've been longer.

Only thing I didn't like is the fact that Ulrika and Preston were on it.

Basically, I think....

-It should've been 3-4 weeks with BB11 cut like 7 days shorter or something [the last week was pointless without Corin, Sam, and John James]
-Charley BB8 was completely ROBBED of her spot on the show.
-Ulrika, Vanessa and Preston should never have been casted. They should have been replaced by Charley, Bea, and Marcus.
-The cast should've been larger to include Rex, Rebecca, and Brian Belo.

Imagine how amazing the cast would've been with Nikki, Charley, Bea, Makosi, Nadia, Chantelle, Rebecca, Michelle, Marcus, Rex, Brian Belo, Brian Dowling, Nick, Victor, and Coolio, and John McCririck. Imagine all the fun late nights and drama.

But with that being said, even with the inclusion of Dullrika and Vanessa Fatz, it was still a fantastic series.

I don't agree with Nikki "playing it safe" lol, she had her fair share of tantrums this time around. Of course they weren't as insane as BB7 but that's inevitable considering she's grown up quite alot. She was definitely the most entertaining one in UBB. The fact that her UBB best bits were significantly longer than anyone else on BB11, even with just 2 weeks of footage, proves that. And given the fact UBB only lasted 2 weeks, it managed to provide many great moments.
