Default England Football Squad for European Championships

What squad would you pick?

At the last World Cup England were absolutely awful and so I would axe all the senior players except Ashley Cole and Wayne Rooney.
Only reason I would keep Cole is because not many quality left backs to take his place and also he was one of few players who played well.
Rooney was awful but I would give him one last chance as he is still young and very talented.

Here is my squad (I number them like Brazil )

1. Joe Hart GK
2. Micah Richards RB
3. Michael Dawson CB
4. Chris Smalling CB
5. Tom Huddlestone DM
6. Ashley Cole LB
7. Aaron Lennon WG
8. Jack Wilshere AM
9. Andy Carroll ST
10. Wayne Rooney SS/AM/ST
11. Ashley Young WG/SS
12. Ben Foster GK
13. Gary Cahill CB
14. Martin Kelly RB
15. Kieran Gibbs LB
16. Jack Rodwell DM
17. James Milner AM/WG
18. Adam Johnson WG
19. Theo Walcott WG/ST
20. Gabriel Agbonlahor WG/ST
21. Daniel Sturridge WG/ST
22. Danny Welbeck WG/ST
23. Connor Wickham ST

The Formation would be a very attacking 4-4-2.
2 out and out wingers on either side of 2 man midfield.
One of the midfield sits and holds, the other is playmaker.
Carroll is the striker and Rooney plays just off him.
Wickham would be back up for Carroll.
I have picked many attacking players who are versatile and have great pace and energy.
Plenty of options to choose from up front.
Maybe you wonder where is Lampard or Ferdinand or Gerrard or Terry.
Well what makes you think they will play any better than last time. Do they deserve another chance?
Especially as we also have to look to the future world cup and beyond.
Best to use this Euro Tourney to give all these exciting young players a real chance to shine. Not just have 1 come one for last half hour.

-------------Rooney--------Carroll
Young-----------------------------------Lennon
-------------Wilshere----Huddlestone
Cole------------------------------------Richards
-------------Smalling------Dawson
----------------------Hart

Captain: Rooney
Vice Captain: Cole

we need to give young players a chance

older senior players are not gonna win the world cup so why bother with them?
