Life is impossibly busy right now. I am wrestling with the Son of Kong (that is, working on THE WINDS OF WINTER), trying to wrap up a final round of edits and revisions on the twenty-third Wild Cards book (HIGH STAKES), developing three new series concepts for HBO and Cinemax, hiring writers and directors for three short low-budget films I am hoping to produce based on some classic SF short stories (more on that in the months to come), making my way through the Hugo Packet to prepare to vote, looking forward to opening JURASSIC WORLD at the Cocteay and to hosting a ten-author special event for the release of Steve Stirling's new "Emberverse" anthology, THE CHANGE. In a week's time, we'll be flying off to Europe for long-planned appearances in Germany (Hamburg) and Sweden (Stockholm), en route to Archipelacon on the island of Aland, where I am to be the Guest of Honor...

I agree that Daenerys could end up being the big bad, they've hinted at the fact that she may suffer from the same madness as her dad a few times. She definitely won't rule Westeros.

I know she's the obvious answer so therefore seems to be ruled out, but it could be that they're showing her story as a parallel to all the nonsense going on in Westeros which will crumble when she swoops in. The white walkers theory might have made sense if they didn't feature in the very first scenes of S1 E1 - i.e. long before Daenerys even had her dragon eggs... I think a final showdown of Daenerys and her dragons plus the Night's Watch (led by Jon Snow) versus the white walkers would be brilliant. They'd better not kill Brienne off unless it's in order to facilitate Sansa's escape from Ramsay!

I think they need the dragons to make weapons from... I always assumed dragon glass was made with fire of a dragon.... so I thought she would be integral in defeating the white walkers

Dragon glass is obsidian, isn't that just a natural (albeit rare) substance (that being said I only know that because it's in minecraft )

I guess my imagination thought that dragons fire could do this too

children of the forest make weapons out of dragonglass, including daggers, blades and arrowheads.[1] During the Age of Heroes it was also recorded by the Night's Watch that the children of the forest gave the black brothers a hundred obsidian daggers every year.

Stannis should have sent word to those he left to protect Dragonstone to send some more of it to the Wall... I can't remember if he done that in the books, or not. Although obviously Dragonstone is under siege in the books.

Davos was sent to look for Rickon in the books and tracked him to an island called Skaagos. They seem to have written this out of the show, but he'll definitely appear at some point

Finally all caught up.

Not sure which ending was more tense, the walker invasion or the attack on the Games.

Fangirled a little bit when Tyrion/Daario/Jorah/Dany/Missandei ran through the arena together tbh. And bye Hizdahr no one cares x

Obviously the Stannis stuff was mortifying & disappointing.

Oh and I was sort-of-rooting for the wildling bitch who'd taken down half of the walkers before falling all doe-eyed and vulnerable to the skeleton children god knows I'm a sucker for the warrior women.

Personally I'm really interested in the Arya storyline just because it's all so new and foreign to the series and the faceless men just seem really badass/creepy/awesome in general. Would kinda like it to be more important to the show, though, maybe have her go for someone bigger next. Perhaps Jaime?
