Thanks! In all fairness, I should've first referred to "Fracture" as the correct word for "Break". Sprain or strain is just a slight pull, usually soft tissue. I'm surprised that people are confused by this.

I always thought a sprain was tendon/ligament damage, a break was a clean break or snap of the bone and a fracture was a crack in the bone or when you 'chip' a bit of bone off.

I broke my arm and fractured my wrist in one accident so I think there is a slight difference between the two.
