If you like hard hitting grit, this is the film for you. Very strong violence and language. Kathy Burke and Ray Winstone are excellent in this

im being forced to watch some show on C4 at that time because my flatmate is a tiger or something

It is a great film. Shocking in places. Maybe record it? Mind you Film 4 do repeat stuff so you could maybe catch it another time
