Why can't celebrities just name their children like normal names?

To be named after the woman who wrote To Kill A Mockingbird, can't be such a bad start in life, can it? Actually, I think Harper is a very pretty name. Better than, say, Princess Tiaami...

Harper is a nice name, hopefully the seven bit won't be mentioned much. Harper Beckham is quite nice.

I agree Niamh... and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to be something much more outlandish.

Harper is fine! It's the seven or 7 bit that's weird. You're already famous why do you need more attention by calling your daughter a number.

well, nobody uses my middle name so maybe that'll be the same for her! Unless her first name is Harper 7?

I was not impressed at first but Harper I guess is an okay name, better than what could have been from these 2.

I think the nicest celebrity unusual name I've heard is Nicole Richie's daughter Harlow, shame she ruined it all by calling her son Sparrow

True, the strangest set of celebrity baby names I think goes to Gwyneth Paltrow & Christ Martin's naming of their kids Moses and Apple. Jesus Christ.

It's becoming too much of a trend now this is why I think that celebs must be using aliases now to keep the news of the world type peeps away. Comeone nobody can really do this to their children....apple, harper comeon.

Quit like Harper actually although Harper Beckham does sound like a character in some cheesey American novel. It's not like her lifestyle is going to be mixing with the Sharons and Janes of this world either, her world will be full of unusual names, its the trend of the rich and famous

it's more a second name. and what about seven and all the other weird names?
Maybe todays celebs are just egotistical enough to think that they can start new trend of names. After all the names we all have got started somewhere. Maybe in a few years apple and such will be the norm
