Congratulations to them, crazy amount of money to win though, they will now find themselves very popular with everyone and likely have relatives crawling out the woodwork that haven't been seen for decades or a fair bit of their lives.
Good luck to them though. |

Having noted the pictures ........ they clearly are big fans indeed!! But hey...good luck to them: it's nice seeing it go to two people who appear to have worked, grafted and now can live the rest of their lives and their retirement in absolute bliss. Think of the amount of Chip shops they could buy!!! Superb!!

Don't know, Mids. I genuinely wouldn't want to win Euromillions - have never done it. I'd be quite happy to win a million or two on the National Lottery. But I wouldn't want several dozen million. Here's part of the reason why:
WHEN struggling mum Dolores McNamara won EUR115million on the EuroMillions lottery last summer she knew life would never be the same again. The mother of six could give up her part-time cleaning job and stop worrying how to pay for her youngest child's school uniform. Instead she enjoyed planning how to spend her cash... on a fabulous new home, extravagant holidays for the family and maybe even a racehorse. But wealth has come at a price - and that's a sobering thought for whoever wins the even bigger EUR125million jackpot up for grabs next week in the same lottery. Six months after her dream windfall, Dolores, 47, and her family have been plagued by kidnap plots and death threats which have forced them to go into hiding. While decorators put the finishing touches to their palatial EUR1.76million new home in Co Clare, the McNamaras are living in fear for their lives. Dolores's eldest son Gary, 26, has been forced to flee his home on the outskirts of Limerick with his girlfriend and child after police told him of plans by a notorious Irish Also, though, such a huge amount of money has to completely change your life and the relationships with those around you. Wouldn't want it. Careful what you wish for. |

I take great offence to that. *curses under breath, cancels car journey, destroys begging letter* Aah, sorry Pyramid, I just think suddenly acquiring great wealth can bring out the worst in 'some' other people. (I recall a different situation but one where on my Dad's side an Aunt died and left a great deal, suddenly from what seemed nowhere were people who said they knew her and then also there was relatives, very distant ones, who came from near and far who had never been seen or had communicated even for years). I hope this couple enjoy their win, that ir brings them great happiness and all they need and it must give them massive security. Sharing a win like that with others is a good thing sadly there are people if they are allowed to, who would take massive advantage of a situation like this. Having said that, I would enjoy being in that position myself. |

If I wouldnt want to win that much money, money dosent buy happiness , I would like to win around £200,000 and that would put my money matters to bed with a little over for pension security and a caravan, Im not greedy. Heard of the expression more money than sense.

£200k really is not a lot of money these days. The price of a small flat in central London, or a half decent 3 / 4 bedroom house in decent area. |

I play the lottery so am not going to be a hypocrite and say I wouldn't love to be loaded. But that much, I'd make other millionaires put it that way.

I'm not even lying when I say I'd probably donate £100m of that to charity, the other 61 is way more than enough to set you and your family for life.
