I wouldnt mind that, as Last Mission wasnt anything special gameplay wise, lol. I hope it extends beyond the end of it though.

Yoshinori Kitase confirms that those who pick up both FFX and X-2 on Vita will be able to take advantage of swapping saves between systems.
Addressing the crowd at Japan Expo in France, the producer confirmed earlier suspicions – allowing fans to seamlessly transfer data between the standalone Vita version and the bundled PS3 counterpart. The 30-minute end credit episode that was leaked by Jump magazine was also confirmed for the west – a new story by scenario writer Kazushige Nojima. The 30-minute add-on will appear in the form of an audio drama once players complete both FFX and X-2. The short preview featured Tidus, again voiced in English by James Arnold Taylor, recalling some of the final events of FFX and FFX-2. He sets the stage – it’s two years later, and he has been given an all-new life to walk alongside Yuna. Nova Crystalis

The latest update on Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD comes from Japanese magazines this week.
As previously reported, the HD update will have a bit of a bonus in the form of a 30 minute audio drama written by series composition writer, Kazushige Nojima. In contrast to what was said at Japan Expo, it seems players will not have to enjoy the extra content. This new story is said to take place one year following the events of Final Fantasy X-2 and will feature all new characters. Square Enix is also preparing illustrations to accompany the episode, in place of actual cutscenes. Although the games are being split up for PS Vita, the audio drama will be available for both console and handheld releases.

I just want a goddamn release date now, it's got to be released sometime this year since an early release next year will overshadow Lightning Returns but I can't see them releasing it in September or November since the Kingdom Hearts re-release is in September and the next gen consoles arrive in November.

Since Final Fantasy X-2 was confirmed to be included in the HD Remaster, many have wondered if the Japan exclusive "Last Mission" would included in the game. Today, thanks to some menu screenshots of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster we finally got confirmation that "Last Mission" will be included in the HD Remaster. As can be seen in the images (below), Final Fantasy X HD will include a 30 minutes cutscene named "The eternal Calm," and in addition, the game will also see 60 of its tracks rearranged, while Final Fantasy X-2 HD will include "Last Mission." The PS3 version will include all content bundled together, while the PS Vita will have the two games seperately. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will be released this Fall for PS3 and PS Vita.

IGN has a tiny snippet of the 30 minute thing on their website, I'm trying to find an english version on Youtube but I can't find it anywhere. It's only literally two sentences although it confirms that the whole episode takes place after X-2 which I wasn't sure about since they made it sound like it was another X-2 prequel.

Holy crap... they actually said Tidus... lol. I'm getting the feeling that this could lead up to a X-3 of sorts, maybe.

It's not Teedus it's Tide-us, Teedus makes no sense Tide-us actually plays into his character while Teedus is a grammatical mess. Shame on you Square.

I remember people saying it was pronounced Tie-dus in Kingdom Hearts, lol. Though I guess this retcons that since this is official Final Fantasy, lol.
I just wish they'd go back and change the awkward "Son of Jecht" and "Him" scenes in X and X-2, lol.

A lot of the Amazon stores have 15/16th October as the release date, hopefully it's correct.

That trailer is so good, could literally watch it on repeat and listen to some of those godly quotes for hours
