Unhappy Why is no one off TiBB giving BB12 a chance like they did with CBB8?

It's so upsetting.

In August, every night on FB and stuff and every day - people were talking about Celebrity Big Brother.

It was everywhere, it may not been as big as BB7 and that - but it was as close to that vibe that we have ever gotten since 2006.

And I loved it, it was no longer 'Gay' or 'Sad' or 'Pathetic' to like Big Brother, infact people in school came out of their way to talk to me about it and ask me questions.

Then CBB8 ends.

And suddenly, it's like there is no series on.

The media gave up on it again, the viewers dropped as we know, the online vibe has plummeted again, and now when I go out everyone is just like 'Patrick, FFS this year's Big Brother is horrible, they should of kept the Celeb one on, right?' and I'm like 'NO!'

People are neglecting this series so much, it's actually the most under rated series since BB9.

Because sorry, but although I did love CBB8 [and I did defend it to the death on here against people like CharlieO and stuff] I have to say BB12 is far better!

The thing I don't get though, is how this whole forum bar about 7 people - DESPISED CBB8 and then all of you love BB12?

So what is it that changed everyone's opinions?

I personally think if they had of done CBB8 for the WHOLE of August - and then launched this, BB12 in June 2012 and ended it in August 2012, it would of been far better in terms of viewers.

Because then people wouldn't be comparing it to Celebrity Big Brother so much!

Lucien ruined CBB for me. Purely him. Would've been good otherwise. Oh and missing a week of it during my holiday made me give up trying to catch up

But my friends are constantly talking about it and that, so I just have friends with good taste. But yeah it's too underrated in general atm

BB12 has been much much better then the Celebrity Version it deserves better ratings it's a shame really i reckon the Majority of people on the forum like this series better then the Celebrity version though

But if people didn't like CBB8 and are not giving BB12 a chance it's because they are unimpressed with the new era. They hated the celebrity series so aren't bothering to watch anymore of it.

I have to say I did not like CBB8 bar an episode or two. I hated it.
BB12 started and I hated it. Awful set up, housemates too similar to each other, crap host (IMO), and just a very cheap feel. Not to mention I think I'm tiring of BB even if it's good. Like a feeling of seen it all before, there's nothing new anymore. Or I'm just growing out of what it offers. I don't know but the last few days something changed, I slipped back into the highlights shows and I actually enjoyed them. Especially last nights, I much prefer non stop action and laugh out loud funny moments all the way through.

It is a shame Heaven and Rebeckah are up this early too. I just hope the series maintains a level of entertainment. I don't want to get bored or be forced to watch a showmance.
Well Said.

Oh Definitely, without question.

I think maybe because they toned down the whole TOWIE editing and stuff, possibly?

Totally agree with you Patrick im loving this series, so much better the CBB, i watched CBB, but to be honest i didn't really enjoy it cause of Lucien & Jedward, & someone has already said think this is been the best series since BB9.

To be honest i didn't think i would get into this series cause the HM's are under 30, because im lot older that, but they have really really surprise me i like a lot of them in there.

I wouldn't say it is chavvy... I really am not the target market for Big Brother... but I love the new editing etc... it's been a great series.

Twice as many.
I wasnt reffering to the audience type really more the tone of the show its a dumbed down shadow of its former self.
As the ratings suggest.

This is the best series since 2008, in my opinion. It's terrible that a lot of people aren't giving it a chance.
