Jade Goody's mother Jackiey Budden has had a miscarriage at the age of 55.
In an emotional interview, Jackiey revealed she was 10 weeks pregnant when she tragically lost her baby. Jackiey, who had conceived the child with 45-year-old boyfriend John Hickinbottom, called out an emergency doctor after suffering from cramps during a night earlier this month. Tragedy: Jackiey Budden has revealed she lost her baby daughter at 10 weeks pregnant She told the Sunday People newspaper: 'The moment I realised the baby had died, I broke down in tears. It was so painful, both physically and mentally. It was just so awful.' Gift from Heaven: The baby would have been born around the third anniversary of Jade Goody's death Jackiey added she felt that falling pregnant again was like being given 'one last chance' by God. She said: 'I thought Jade was bringing me a little girl from up there. It was like she was helping me from Heaven. 'I've lost Jade and I've lost contact with my son Brett so I was over the moon that I had another chance. Now I'm so upset, I'm grieving again.' Jackiey's baby would have been born around the same time as the third anniversary of Jade's death. Jade's mother revealed in the interview that while the pregnancy wasn't planned, she and John were delighted when they found out they would be starting a family after just one month of dating. Recalling when she did the pregnancy test, Jackiey said: 'I was shocked and scared. I was scared of what it would mean for a woman of my age to be pregnant. 'Straight away I rang John and he was over the moon. As I got used to it I because so happy at the prospect of being a mum again. 'Jade would have been so happy. I thought she would be looking down, I think it was a present from her. I'm a very spiritual person and I thought it was meant to be.' Jackiey added that while she acknowledges she wasn't a good mother to Jade or her brother Brett, she was looking forward to the prospect of being given another chance at motherhood. She said: 'This time, I promised myself I would have been a really good mother. To have lost the chance is heartbreaking. 'I thought I was getting somewhere with my life but now I'm back to being sad again. I have lost Jade and now I have lost what would have been her little sister.'

It's surely only coincidental that Granny Budden is simultaneously featured in another "story" :

It's a shame, but she had to see it coming.

Good god. She's ancient. That's not an age you would consider having a child at.
Also the fact that she clearly went ahead and told the press for more column inches in the papers/magazine deals is disgusting. |

She shouldn't have any more kids. She should just stick to being a good grandmother to her grandsons, Bobby and Jack!

I'm sure I read she had to be admitted to hospital earlier in the year for slashing her wrists, which required hundreds of stitches.

All very sad, but at 55, the pregnancy would never have gone full term in that drug-ravaged body. I see she's managed to overcome her grief to suck some column inches out of it though.

I don't like the woman, and she has made a pigs ear of motherhood before, she seems to lack mothering skills, not her fault, she is just hopeless at it as some people are, they are just not suited to it. So as much as it is sad for her that she lost the baby, maybe it was for the best at the end of the day. Don't mean to come across as cruel or cold hearted, but just saying it like it is. Especially if she saw the baby as a new chance more than anything else because of past bad decisions. Life doesn't always work out like that even with the best of intentions in such situations sadly

1) shouldn't she be past the menopause by now?
2) shes mentally unstable 3) she'll be dead by the time its 20 losing the baby = lesser of two evils |

How sad, hope she recovers but at her age it's too old.
She must have changed her mind about her sexuality after Jade died then.

Yes Hijacked. I specifically avoid this section because of you, trying to have a discussion and you just clog it up with articles, I'd prefer opinions rather than 4-5 articles and then a '' smiley thrown in.

Bit harsh. Not everyone is the same, and even mods get the occasional sarky dig in. I for one don't mind Omah's threads and posts at all. At least they give us something to discuss rather than say 'what colour is your bedroom' etc: type threads for example. Sometimes I think some forum members get pulled up for the silliest things. As long as they are not rude to others which Omah never is, then why not just leave him be he's doing no harm
