I suppose it's only a testament to how much of an impact this website has had on me for the past (almost) 5 years that I broke down in tears earlier. The circumstances of this rang too close to home - my brother passed away 2 and a half years ago from an unexpected form of pneumonia.

But there's something deeply upsetting when it's someone you've spent a good few years talking to but have never met outside of the internet. I was just talking to Lee about this and how we feel a little unable to share this grief with friends or family, since they'd struggle to understand.

Some might call us sad for caring so much about those we've never met - but in my opinion this is what makes TiBB a wonderful place. We might argue over the pettiest and silliest of things but at the heart of it I truly believe that we genuinely care about each other, and it's incredibly saddening when part of this community is taken away.

All these messages of support for David and all the amazing words being said about Kerry makes me proud to be part of this community.

Yeah I understand Shaun, even though I've not been here as long, it's so weird because it's someone you've never met and yet still consider a friend, a person, and someone that you knew, and not just a name on a screen

I completely understand where you're coming from.

Death is the one certainty in life for all of us, yet it's such a shock when it happens. To happen to someone so young and so suddenly is a terrible tragedy. Very unfair indeed.

Great post, I wholeheartedly agree. Kerry was such a lovely member, I remember she always used to help me keep the EE thread active and I really will miss her on this forum. My thoughts are with Kerry's family and friends and thanks David for taking the time to let us know about this.

RIP Kerry

Kerry was such a lovely member and a true contribution to the forum. It is so sad to see her go and I wish all the best wishes to you David and all of the family. Kerry will never be forgotten.

Listening to Masterpiece when I read the title really moved me Kerry will forever belong on TiBB's finest members.

I'm with you there Shaun, it felt like losing a family member when I first saw this thread, even though we weren't technically related. We're like a big family on here.

It is always so sad to hear the news that we have lost a member. It is a sad day for everyone that has known her in someway.

Looking at all the touching messages here she has touched many peoples lives in a wonderful way and it is clear she will be missed by many.

My heart goes out to David and his family and all those that knew her on the site. I'm sure she will be remembered fondly by many here and live on in their hearts.

In her 30s and she had a young daughter too which makes it all the more sadder that a daughter will grow up without her mother.
