I was actually going to make the point about the fact that we have heard so many stories in the media where people claim sexual assault etc, and they are upheld, or they turn out not to be true. There are cases when people have admitted their stories were not true and they were doing it "for the cash". There is always doubt in my mind now when I read a story like this, which is quite sad really. People who have "cried wolf" so to speak have put this doubt in my mind. And it's wrong because you should have an open and unbiased approach towards such matters. Is it just me, or does anyone else read stories like this and that thought creeps into their mind? And I am just talking about where celebrities are involved.

Yes, absolutely, just recently there was that one involving Louis Walsh and the man later admitted he'd made it up to make some cash. It's a really horrendous thing to do to someone, as InOne pointed out early that kind of thing can tarnish a persons name forever even if it's later proved to be untrue, not to mention the fact that it makes things alot harder for genuine victims.
