I think they are all brilliant. I can't choose between book 4, 5 and 6... I think 7 is my least fave and I like 1, 2 and 3 all the same. If I had to chose my absolute fave, I think it would have to be the OotP... It's just so long and brilliant. I'm just about to finish the HBP and forgot how much I liked that one too.
What is your fave HP book? Poll coming

My all time favourite Harry Potter book is Order of the Phoenix. I think it's because of Umbridge. I hate her more than Voldemort, but I like her... does that make any sense? I'd say my least favourite is probably CoS or GoF. Also currently re-reading Prisoner of Azkaban.

Order Of The Phoenix, I just love all the Prophecy drama, The hate campaign against Harry & Dumbledore, Dumbledore's Army, the Order of the Phoenix. I've never hated a character as much as Umbridge, she's worse then Voldemort.
HBP is also good, the film let's it down as so much is cut out. COS and PS are at the bottom of list purely because of length. |

Same as Marc I just love the Goblet of Fire although Azkaban was the first one I read so that always has a special place in my heart. Least fave is prob Chamber of secrets but Half blood prince I wasn't too keen on either. I love all of them but 2 is prob my least fave
In order 4,3,5,7,1,6,2

1 (for the novelty of it all and the introductions to everything), Goblet of Fire (for the return of Big Bad V and the dragons and stuff) and 6 (for the twists and Snape being a bitch <3)
I loved all of them except Chamber of Secrets though really.

I've finished the first four so my fave is the Goblet of Fire, I plan to read the others later in the year.

Nice to see OOTP get some recongition, most people seem to list it as one of the least favourites.
1. OOTP 2. DH 3. GOF 4. POA 5. COS 6. HBP 7. PS Voted for the first three. Last edited by Daniel.; 10-08-2014 at 06:21 PM. |

My favourite is a toss up between OoTP and HBP. DH is close behind because it wrapped up the entire story although the first half dragged a little.
I love all of them tbh except the first two maybe. I can open them at any page and immediately be engrossed. Last edited by Glenn.; 10-08-2014 at 07:58 PM. |

All hail the Moyesiah

4th comfortably the best imo, had pretty much everything you'd want in a HP book in it
6th is a distant second and the 2nd is one I always thought was very underrated, a lot better than 3 which was easily the worst |

just finished the 6th one
the funeral /sob the last one is my least fave because the thing I love most about the books is the school type envirnoment... makes it so much more personal. I love how they have a common room and the quidditch... the bitchy teachers and house points etc... that's what I enjoy the most and there's none of that in the last one

Just re-read Half Blood Prince, a shame they omitted the funeral in the film. I'm also gutted that we never got to see Luna Lovegood's Quidditch commentary

Movies #3, #6, and #8 win imo. The book for Goblet of Fire though is definitely superior, so much more detail that gave great insight to the wizarding world.

Probably 7 just because it all comes together and you really appreciate hints and stuff that was dropped in previous books that you didn't pick up on and you realise how talented JK is
