Default ch5 news - self service check outs -anyone see it ?

help yourself at self checkout

you are all guilty,
and for this you will pay the price,
because cutting down on your own checkout staff,
is as bad as trading in vice.
all the main supermarkets,
they are putting there gain before someone's job,
and if anyone see's my poem,
maybe they might get the idea to rob.
ch5 news did educate,
the way to pull off this scam,
anyone can do it,
you don't have to look like a innocent lamb.
onto the scale you put your veg,
say Jersey royals a £3 a kilogram,
then you select something cheap like "onions",
and its 1-0 to you, "thank you mam".
another way is to hold,
booze or razor blades,
finish your transaction,
drop it into your bag with no parades.
i am clearly telling you,
all supermarkets are providing free stock from the shelf,
so next time you are packing your own bags,
i hope you are NOT tempted to help yourself.

I use the self service checkouts, that way I don't have to deal with a bored person sitting on a chair.

And I think you're on camera, so I wouldn't steal anything there

I never use self-service checkouts. I already have a job. If I'm going to have to check out my own shopping, then they're going to have to pay me the going rate. I mean... I'm spending all that money, and now you want to me to work for you for free? I don't think so.

The more people use self-service checkouts, the fewer staff the supermarkets will get away with paying and that's more profit for them.

I totally agree, I have used them but only when the queues have been horrendous at the main checkouts.
The voice at the self service checkouts drives me mad and as you say,why should we be doing their work for them and in doing so likely allowing them to not replace worker/s that may have left.

Also, the thing that annoys me at the store that I go to near me,it has now 21 self service checkouts, it has around 40 main checkouts but never more than 10 are on at any one time so the queues get really bad, then to add insult to injury they have 3 or 4 people standing around with daft finger arrow signs saying space here when there is one.

it is all a joke hey - the whole thing is crazy - but you no the good thing about it ? the supermarkest have released there figures and shoplifting is at a all time high, they do say they expect this when there is a recession but trust me, the longer they have these sever service checkouts - the higher there own loss's will be - it dose not take a brainy person to work that out.
