Bromances (especially when no men are gay) are so tedious and overrated imo. Like an extended WKD ad.
Have their been any real female friendships this year? Siobhan and Ashleigh only became tight when Siobhan was departed from Chris. They were more like mother and daughter and even then it often seemed they were more friends with Conor than each other. The females hardly seem to like each other besides as b*tching partners. Early in series we saw Siobhan, Sara and of course Ashleigh b*tch about Lauren with Lydia smugly earwigging and informing an unsuspecting Lauren who stormed in. No one defended Victoria when Arron rowed with her even though he was awful to her. Lauren doesn't really like any of the females and is fickle on Deana. Sara flits from Ashleigh to Deana to Scot to Caroline without really being close to any. Caroline and Becky would have scratched each others eyes out if it wasn't for the mutual right to the role of Scot's 'hag-in-Chief'. Lydia was more comfortable with Benedict and Luke A. Caroline slagged off Ashleigh on HL last night 'she thinks she's in final' - really disloyal. Deana never really had Lauren's back when Becky started the whole 'cake-gate' row with Lauren. In fact there has rarely been really solid female friendships in BB compared to male/male or female/male. I just feel BB women are too competitive on their looks and desirability to really befriend another attractive female (which is why I liked it when Karly and Sophie BB10 became buddies). I get the impression that post-BB Luke A and Adam will remain friends as well as with Lauren and Benedict. Ditto Conor and wannabe lover Arron with the occasional night out with Luke S. True, but I suspect Maisey wanted to 'friend-jack' Faye away from Louise.
Lauren entered the house determined to have no female friends. She spent the first week boasting to Luke S and Conor that 'oh girls don't like me' when Lydia, Deana and Caroline extended the hand of friendship but this was ignored. Last edited by alex_front2; 16-07-2012 at 01:20 PM. |

As much as I like Lauren it's to her detriment. She needs to realise not all men are one way and women another. She seemed shocked that Luke S prefered shopping to footy so was not impressed.
I think Lauren thrives on male company and impressing men 'oh, I love football and Fifa 2010 unlike ALL other women who can only talk about lipstick' or 'I am innocently flashing my knickers by doing a handstand. don't get turned on now boys. Ohh I am such a tomboy, a tomboy who loves wearing make up, pink dresses and cardies, getting strong protective cuddles from Luke S and wearing floral dresses. Yep real tomboyish, me' Last edited by alex_front2; 16-07-2012 at 01:35 PM. |

How? Loads of girls like footy now. It's not 1950s and hardly a USP. My gran who is feminine is a hardcore QPR fan. Lauren wears more make up than Siobhan. She also had a discussion with Siobhan about hair extensions which SHE initiated. Girlie girlie whirlie girlie. In Lauren's crazed imagination all other girls in world like baking cookies, shopping for pink clothes (the colour she wears the most btw) and reading Hair and Beauty mags. Nope, all other girls are exactly the same girlie way as far as Lauren's concerned. She's the only girl in the whole universe into football and gaming - which aren't even boys activities they are gender neutral.
Lauren also breaks the no1 tomboy rule - she wears pink and has suspiciously straight hair. Girlie girlie girlie. The only tomboy in this house is Luke A during his teen years. There is no differentiation between Lauren and the other girls. She ought to see my sisters' girlfriend if she wants to see real tomboys. Lauren probably wears more dresses than I do. To get her tomboy card I suggest Lauren stop discussing and wearing make up (and pretending not to), stop wearing pink, stop discussing being a mother (ultimate girlie move) and stop batting her eye lashes and flashing her knickers at men. These are not only untomboyish but actually the height of ingenue girlieness. Nice girl but completely deluded about how ungirlie she is. Lauren just loves to kid herself that she's unique when she's really not. Caroline cares less about dressing up in girlie clothes than Lauren - only seen Caroline looking nice 2x since launch night. Lauren is the first in the room to put on her glitter make up. Yep how tomboyish. Lauren crying about Arron pranking with powder in hairdryer. First of all tomboys would not cry over something so girilie. Secondly a tomboy would probably not even use a hair dryer. Let hair dry naturally, thirdly a tomboy would probably not even dress up for an eviction, trousers and a top. Fourthly a real tomboy would have laughed at Arron and pranked him back. It's like when people say 'I am such a nerd/ geek' when they are trendys trying to seem deep. Other than this minor irritation, nice girl and good HM who should be in final. There is a difference between being a tomboy and a girl/woman behaving in a masculine manner. I see a tomboy as a young girl/woman who isn't scared of getting a bit of dirt under her finger nails. Perhaps a sporty type (not excluding 'girlie girls' from that completely, Flojo anyone?). Will playfight, join in the pranks, go fishing and hook the bait themselves etc. I see that in Lauren. I just don't see a masculine side to her at all.

Victoria Pendleton (Olympic Cyclist) is exteremly sporty (she loves Iron Man competitions etc) and keeps banging on about how she loves dresses, as does Jessica Ennis. Tomboys are a dying breed as female are increasingly obsessed with looks and what boys think of them. Real tomboys really wouldn't give a fig. Lauren acting like a girl, crying needing a cuddle when Arron pranked her hair dryer was the ultimate sign she's just a tomboy imposter. Last edited by alex_front2; 16-07-2012 at 02:32 PM. |

i think you have misinterpreted tomboys as lesbians lol
lauren is tomboy, a girly girl who does triple backflips is not girly she is naturally good looking, thats why when she makes effort to look good, she looks so girly that her personality doesnt match her looks
