Default Complain to OFCOM on the rewarding of violent behaviour

If you wish to complain about bad behaviour being rewarded then you may wish to copy and paste the text below to Ofcom.

"Big Brother is a public popularity contest rewarded with £100,000 to the winner. Housemate Conor McIntyre who has already been subject to over 1225 complaints of bullying fellow housemate Deana Uppal, Miss India UK, has now been propelled into a position by Big Brother and Big Brother alone to win half the prize money, £50,000 or a free pass to the final of the competition, which demonstrates to a younger audience that bullying and threatening sexual violent behaviour can often reap large rewards."

It is worthy of complaint, but not because of Conor. Because they are swindling the players and disrespecting the public with their shady running of this show.

ar

how are they swindling the players....one of the unchanging rules of BB is that they can change the rules at any time, it will be in their contracts that the prize money can change...as for the public, the same rules apply...

This particular issue which involved no actual violent behaviour at all anyway, nor do I believe any was even seriously intended,it was simply an offensive rant in my view which was dealt with by BB to my satisfaction.
I would then never in a million years put my name to any complaint to OFCOM about it and have them waste their time looking into it.

Totally right, that is the only rule that never changes in BB that they can change all rules at any time, It covers everything they do in fact.

Exactly. He was clearly just angry with Deana and he got a warning for it more than a month ago. I can't believe people keep dwelling on it. It's over. End.

I agree! It was just pure rage. I doubt he meant any harm by it.

Exactly. And it's not like he went unpunished either. He was warned and he hasn't done anything of the sort since. You'd think that would be enough but clearly it isn't.

He's so much better now at controlling his temper. I'm very happy that he's ignoring Deana completely!

Yeah. And then he gets accused of racism.

I think he just doesn't like Deana. I don't blame him! I can't stand her myself!

Saying what Conor said in the workplace would result in dismissal. Saying it in a pub would result in a charge. Why is it okay to say it in front of a TV audience and why do people want to push it under the carpet? I'm sure some viewers would watch dog fights if it was put on television. BB are on the verge of giving Conor £50,000, that's not okay in my book. And what is this paranoia over OFCOM, it's there for the specific purpose of complaining should you want to?

No one here has condomed Conor's behaviour for that rant though.

Whilst we all appreciate it was vile and he was in every way possible wrong to do so, he's been warned already. Time to get over it, methinks.

If its in the contract that the prize money can change, then theres nothing to be done. But the way they have treated the audience is a disgrace.

What we really do not need is someone coming on to encourage forum members to complain to Ofcom. We are all adults here; even the youngest members are mature enough to make a decision for themselves. The most insulting thing is that the OP imagines that if someone feels strongly enough to complain to Ofcom, they may not know why so has written the complaint for us.

Not at all, this should be the point where the public get their say, but he could be about to walk out with £50,000 in his pocket. When he should have been ejected, he may be about to be rewarded, this only became clear last night. I think it's totally relevant to look at Conor and his 'contribution' again.

And...you're missing the point. He got what he deserved - a warning.
