Celebrity Big Brother capped a strong night for Channel 5 with 1.95m (11.2%) at 10pm
That is EXCLUDING +1. Seeing as +1 at 11pm normally reaches 70-90k, CBB must have gotten 2.02m-2.04m incl +1 which is very good for a 10pm slot. This should mean tonight's eviction should get around 2.2m-2.3m (same as Jasmine's eviction). Or maybe lower as Paralympics Opening Ceremony is on tonight. No idea. It won't be anywhere near the Olympic opening. People on the ratings prediction threads on DS seem to think it will be around 6-8m which would be massive for Channel 4.
CBB will face the games every day until it finishes Last edited by *mazedsalv**; 29-08-2012 at 09:49 AM. |

All hail the Moyesiah

The Paralympics will be nowhere near as strong competition as the Olympics but it'll probably still get decent ratings with C4 giving it the most coverage it's ever had, wouldn't be surprised if it gets close to 10m for some of the major events

Good rating, proof that ratings aren't on the slump.

I am worried the ceremony will really dent CBB. I reckon it will get around 7m average and around 10m peak.

Didn't Carolines eviction against the closing ceremony still manage around 700k for the overnight ratings? that was better than we all expected.

True. I doubt the ratings will go below 1.5m tonight because CBB is getting around 1m higher than BB and also, Paralympics should be much lower than the opening ceremony back then as it's on Channel 4 and there has been less hype.

2 Million (8%) Accoring to the Guardian. It was against the Paraolympic ceremony (which took 8 million), Who Do You Think You Are (3.6 million), Britian Then and Now on ITV (700,000)

2m (8%) for the 9pm show is brilliant considering ITV got 700k! Unsure if that 2m is with +1. It didn't even drop!

In our house there's absolutely no contest between BB/CBB and the Olympics/Paralympics.
All sport is dull unless you're taking part yourself and I try to avoid doing that as much as possible! Last edited by Clootie Dumpling; 30-08-2012 at 10:01 AM. |

What did the second show get?
I imagine its low seeing as viewers had to sit through an hour and 10 minutes of that ****ty Dalla documentary. |

Not sure yet. It may be low, but even if it was like 1.5m, the share would be big. I reckon a 2m average for that time would be like 18%-20% share.

I'm surprised the ratings were still pretty good lastnight.

Yes 1.96m incl +1 is great up against what it was. It even beat Cheryl's eviction that got 1.93m incl +1.
Really want to know the later show! |

I slight drop because of the return of Celebrity Juice (which got 1.8m).
CBB got 1.87m EXCLUDING +1. Tonight it will be over 2m again incl +1). Including +1 Media Guardian: Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother (2 million/11.1%). Last edited by *mazedsalv**; 31-08-2012 at 12:53 PM. |

Celebrity Big Brother improved to 2.08m (9.6%) for Channel 5 from 9pm until 10.30pm, then 1.11m (7.5%) stayed for Emma Willis's Bit on the Side
Normally it says what the +1 got but it didn't. I don't think it includes it so that is brilliant. Either way it's good and the 2nd highest eviction after Jasmine. |

BOTS does very well doesnt it.
It gets much higher ratings than the Xtra Factor which is hard to believe. |

Yes that's odd. Xtra Factor had 980k last week (and that was an unusually high audience). Normally I am sure Xtra Factor gets between 700-800k. Not too shabby that a Channel 5 show gets 1.11m in a later slot and a share that was over double that of Xtra Factor's last week.
