for the under 25 north american crowd, yes most def. the guy may be a loser but hes HUGEEE in america and hes current. not like half the dusty old bags in there atm. they need people like him to attract more younger 21st century viewers, lets be real. just look at twitter with all the buzz hes creating. great exposure for BB to the not so regular fans, will be interesting to see the translation to ratings over the first few days

You put it best. His claim to fame is still very lucrative for him. Celebrity Big Brother has typically been reserved for 'washed-up' celebrities, but Mike is still in his prime. But in North America being a reality star is a sure fire way to make you rich and famous fast.

He's certainly more famous than "prince" Lorenzo from the Bachelor, do they even show the Bachlor US in the UK?

I've never heard of him. In fact, there are only five out of the whole bunch that I've heard of: Julie, Cheryl, Coleen, Julian and Martin. The rest seem like a bunch of z-lists to me.
