I have just finished watching the highlights show tonight and yet again Julian was nowhere to be seen. He literally had no involvement with the show, he played no part at all in the Gods and Mortals Task. Was it just the edit , no I don't think it was.
This is bad news for Julian Clary fans (of which I am one) , he risks becoming anonymous on this show. He is not offering anything, he is not involved in any of these tasks. He hasn't been part of a major storyline thus far and although I hate to admit it, he is failing badly on this show. I suspect he will be up for Nomination and you would have to wonder how long he can stay in CBB. It's also useful to note that the major voting demographic is probably a younger age group than Julian. One final point to raise certainly with respect to the G&M task, was there a comment made by Julie to keep Julian as a mortal. Perhaps Julie is playing Julian as well. Shame really I had high hopes for Julian. |

He needs to go, whatever airtime he does get is taking it away from the lovely Danica.

Funnily enough, his bessie mate Julie...who in her own opinion cant go a day without a bit of camp..didnt seem to want him to be a God....instead she opted for two easily led dorks...and Samantha... worried about the competition are we Julie?

He'll silently float to the final, in which he'll have next to no competition and will likely end up winning it.
You're forgetting that everybody else in the house are also dull or hated!

Know what you meean, Nedusa. I was disappointed, too, as I had high hopes for Julian at the start.
For some reason he seems to have gone into appeasement mode and is doing his best to remain uncontroversial, but doesn't realise that being controversial is one of his strengths. I long to see him exercising his quick and incisive wit and bettering the harridan Julie at every turn. I, too, heard her comment about keeping him as a Mortal and agree with Cherie B that Julie sees him as major competition. she tends to be wary of anyone who's more intelligent than she is - hence her vitriolic comments about Coleen, too, I think. |

Julie definitely appears to have dumped him - she probably doesn't need him any more, I think there is quite a big difference between his private persona and his job as a comedian - in reality he is fairly pensive and almost morose at times. Before he went in he said his motive for doing the show was 'desperation' and i think he was telling the truth - he is just doing it for the cash and maybe a little boost to his career. I still like him though and think he still has a good chance of winning simply on the basis that he will have pissed off less people than most of the others.

Get it? Got it? Good!

With the adverts each hi-light show is only 44 minutes long, so they cannot show EVERYTHING that happens or is said. BB do love a fauxmance so they will show all that guff before anything else unfortunately...

Remembering Kerry
|
I thought he would ensure he had a higher profile in the house but when he does something like the storybook task and other things he does shine and is really funny.
He should make the final and then it will be down to the public really. He failed to make it as a God because he didn't do the tasks that well, Julie was only one deciding who were Gods,She and Martin chose Harvey to be one, because he was the only housemate who never moved an inch during the throwing part of the Gods and Mortals task. After that the decisions were made even moreso by more than just her, Martin clearly didn't want Julian to be a God as neither did Harvey. Last edited by joeysteele; 30-08-2012 at 12:01 AM. |

But this is Channel 5, owned by Richard Desmond, owner of trashy mags whos main demographic wants to see the likes of Mike, Danica, Rhian etc... I'm actually shocked they put any celebs in there who are over 30

I'm really hoping Julian steps up his game this last week and takes Julie down - he is starting to see her manipulative ways so here's hoping. I still love him to bits and will be voting for him as I think he has been himself all the way through, even if that is different to his public persona he's still my winner.

Of course, Endemol, the makers of BB & CBB, has strong links with MTV, who make Jersey Shore, of which The Occasional Table is a 'cast' member. Julian is just a very witty, intelligent and talented comedian who doesn't a chance without the kind of support that the seemingly talent-free Mike enjoys.
