Simon Cowell wants Christopher Maloney out of the X Factor 2012, it’s been reported today.


It was previously claimed that in leaked X Factor voting percentages that Chris Maloney has topped the public vote.

According to the Daily Mirror, X Factor boss Simon Cowell is hoping to get the Liverpudlian singer out, not only to improve the competition but also to get at Gary Barlow!

Take That star Gary has already lost two of his four acts, and with a third in the bottom two last weekend it’s not looking good.

A source told the newspaper: “Chris winning or even getting further into the competition is a disaster for Cowell.

“He wants Chris out and the fact that his mentor is Gary Barlow makes him even more desperate to get him kicked off.”

Bookies have once again made Chris the favourite to be evicted this Sunday night, as the remaining contestants sing a Halloween themed episode.

“Chris has had enough support to get him through the last few weeks but the cracks are beginning to form and he could be in real danger this week, with or without his Liverpool support,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.”
