Default Spencer Pratt reveals who hacked his Twitter account whilst he was in CBB house

EVERYONE was seriously confused when the tweets started appearing.

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag went down a storm when they entered the Celebrity Big Brother 2013 house at the beginning of this month.

They were thrown into the world of reality TV - something they know very well - and stripped of the mod cons they're always relying on.

Heidi hit Twitter a few days before they entered to reveal that her husband's phone was lost.

So, when we spotted that the Speidi villain's Twitter account was still well and truly in use, as we watched him on our telly boxes, we were beyond confused.

The tweets were WEIRD, and some people suspected The Hills star had taken his phone into the CBB house with him.

But the mystery tweeter announced that he was a struggling British poet who wanted a bit of exposure for his work, and was even asking @SpencerPratt's followers for advice in the romance department.

Fans soon caught on to the fact that they weren't reading tweets written by Spencer, and dubbed the mystery writer Tempspence.

Strange, huh?!

So, now, Spencer has revealed exactly what was really going on.

The whole thing was all an act. His Twitter was being controlled by two writers called Mark C. Marino and Rob Wittig.

It's a new type of online performance art called netprov (network improv narrative).

Spencer exclusively told OK! Online: "Most of my Tweeps have learned to expect something unusual. They were glad I was back, enjoyed a laugh about @tempspence, but some of them also seemed to have a new sense that the reality they find on Twitter on TV is not as real as they thought and that because of netprov, things just got a whole lot more playful. And, to quote the Bard, the play's the thing!"

Pretty amazing stuff, non?! The whole thing had us well and truly hooked. And don't worry, he gave them his permission.
