EastEnders star Scott Maslen has announced that he is bowing out from his role as Jack Branning.

The actor, who has been playing Jack since 2007, will depart screens at the end of his contract later this year.

I think it is for the best sadly, the character of Jack has run its cause and I wish Scott Maslen well in what he does next, he is a nice guy and I know because I met him once.

I like Jack,and will be sad to see him go,but as long as Max stays I will watch,love the show whatever.Gonna watch the omnibus on 2 in a bit,glad that is back to a Sunday.

He's a walking mess and think was the only Branning to be complete invented out of thin air. The other Brothers were mentioned back in the 90's and Derek was even in an episode.

seen as they control 99% of the story lines - it 6 to many. we need adult soap land not kindergarten soaps.
