The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn (2011)
9/10 > better on the second viewing despite nodding in & out of sleep in the last 30 minutes or so, the animation is amazing and the story was great, really looking forward to the sequel Vehicle 19 (2013) 8/10 > quite entertaining despite the action rarely leaves the vehicle thought it was quite good Beautiful Creatures (2013) 7/10 > bought this in poundland ages ago normally they sell rubbish but this was good by their standards Cedar Rapids (2011) 7/10 > so so comedy with Ed Helms which personally I don't find funny at all in the slightest but their were a few laughs here and there from the co stars more than the main man Three (2005) 6/10 > boat sinks 6 people get on the life boat it capsizes in the storm but only four wash up on the island but what bothers me is why didn't Gail and the shaggy haired guy bodies wash-up on the island like the rest of them? also random items appearing out of nowhere like Kelly Brook's character Jennifer pulling out a MASSIVE hair grip out of thin air where the **** did that come from???? she didn't have it when she washed up on the island also none of the survivors show no evidence of hair growth yet apparently they've been on the island for a year LOL HILARIOUSLY BAD but watchable

Get Out
So good, clever, more than just a horror, etc etc Even liked it more than Three Billboards. Now understand all the disappointment when it didn’t win best film/people wanting Daniel Kaluuya to win. 9.8/10 |

White Chicks (2004)
10/10 > I love this film so much, so funny my face is aching again after a third viewing please make a sequel Wayan brothers, we know you're thinking it but I said it LOL Wallace & Gromit: The Curse Of The Were Rabbit (2005) 10/10 > haven't seen this since 2005 and I still love it shame we will probably never get a sequel or another 30 minute short How To Be Single 8/10 > Rebel makes me laugh just by looking at her which makes this film rather amusing and a pleasant surprise Star Trek 3:Beyond 8/10 > better than the first but not as good as the second film (into darkness) as I got a bit bored towards the end but the time flew by as it was rather entertaining

Nine Lives (2016)
8/10 > man becomes a very fluffy cat called Mr Fuzzypants (LOL) after swapping bodies after an accident the usual routine purrsues The Secret Life Of Pets (2016) 8/10 > a teenie weenie bit disappointing but at least Gidget was far less annoying than the SKY advert & the ending was sweet Big Nothing (2006) 8/10 > seen this when it first came out on DVD but after a re-watch I completely forgot how amusing it was on another note David Schwimmer looks odd in this

wrinkle in time; though it has its heart and its intentions in the right place it ends up being a convoluted mess. too much is going on as you don't really have time to think. the scene with chris pine in the yellow triangle **** was incredible but the only good scene in the movie really

Thor: Ragnarok
(Rewatch, I saw it in the cinema) On rewatching, can confirm that I genuinely think that this is the best put together movie in the entire MCU so far. The "rock guy" still feels slightly out of place to me but otherwise it's more or less flawless . Noticed a few things that I didn't the first time - like that Thor is close to going "electric Thor" like he does at the end when he's in the arena with Hulk, but gets shocked by the Grandmaster to stop him... so Thor actually WOULD have won the Hulk / Thor fight . I don't remember it playing out that way when I saw it in the cinema, which is weird... but maybe it's just because you don't know the significance of the "glowing blue eyes" look until the end? |

Tomb Raider
It was....okay I guess? Alicia Vikander makes a pretty good Lara but the film is let down by it's budget and the changes to the story it's adapting just don't work. They could have just done a 1:1 take on the Reboot's story and it would have made for a good film but the changes they made to the story are actually for the worse. It's frustrating as a fan of the games but even then, it's probably one of the better video game films. 5/10 Last edited by Tom4784; 28-03-2018 at 05:02 PM. |

Insidious 4: The Last Key
5/10 i don’t usually jump during horror movies but i jumped a lot during this one because they would get in these scenes where everything would be dark and there would be no music but other than small jump scares the film itself wasn’t really scary at all. It was okay and the characters were likeable.

Ready Player One
It's excellent, it's fun, mostly well written and well acted. One of my only issues with the film is that these teenagers from the future throw out way too many 80's references and at one point one of the characters wonders whether he should go on a date dressed like Duran Duran...it's just awkward because it doesn't fit. The other problem I had were the constant references, most of which are delightful but towards the middle, the references really start to reach until the last act in which the references become delightful again. I've not got much else to say about it really, it's Spielberg back to doing what he does best, basically and I loved it. 9/10 Last edited by Tom4784; 29-03-2018 at 06:41 PM. |

uhh im gonna be in the minority here as i normally am with films but ready player one wasn't good. script felt clumpy the acting was cringy incredibly poorly structured and paced and everything felt incredibly predictable. there were also no characters or a lack of characterisation. the fight scenes looked good but honestly the cgi got too much for me after a while. i liked the premise but disliked the majority of it i think if the way it looks is the only positive thing about it it isn't a good movie. 3/10
but then i also watched isle of dogs and loved it 7.5/10 |

It's Complicated (2009)
9/10 > very funny in places and just proves comedy's don't have to rely on crude humour to get by Decoys (2004) 9/10 > about alien women coming to Canada due to the cold to save their female alien race from extinction, a few amusing moments and has a nice twist at the end Arthur (2011) 8/10 > the remake with Russell Brand which I find a little annoying and I quite liked it and Helen Mirren looks out of place in this

Isle of Dogs
It's very much a Wes Anderson film so if you dislike his work, you'll hate this but if you're a fan, it'll be right up your street. I really liked it, I liked the approach and style (and think that cultural appropriation and white washing remarks are silly), the writing was good and it was just pretty damn good in most regards. The cast is shockingly star studied and their performances are pretty great and memorable across the board. I suppose the only real criticism I have is that Wes Anderson plays it a bit too safe and that it's a film that feels all too familiar if you've watched his other films. 9/10 |
